I am beyond ashamed of being an American right now. On one hand, I'm GLAD to see the imperialist foundations of this country being completely exposed for all the world to see. On the other hand, I'm stunned by the lack of any moral compass in this administration and so MANY Americans, as well.
I feel the same. I kinda want to see the USA go under. IS that wrong? haha. It really concerns me though that 77 (or was it 70) MILLION people voted for this. All these racists and bigots simmering all these years, going crazy that a BLACK man was president, and then a WOMAN was running! They emerged from under their rocks, intent on victory and revenge! We didn't know we were taking up their limited brain space all this time. They are pathetic! Among other negative things. Live and let live, I say!

I cannot express it any better than the other commenters, but excuse me, I have to get this out of my body. Our country has not only failed Americans, it has failed the world. We have been the terrorists all along. US/Israel had become one long ago and trillions of our tax dollars have gone to Israel. Trillions more to nonstop wars. We fight Israel's wars. Iran has been targeted by the US for decades, simply because it will not bend to its will, and allow their oil and other resources to be stolen. They are the last country in the Middle East free of our subjugation. They have paid dearly for the sanctions and tariffs imposed. This means for decades they haven't been able to sell their oil, unless on the black market and its not enough. They cannot borrow from any bank in the world, Their money is no good, anywhere in the world. Any assets they have, in other countries are frozen. They are not allowed to trade any goods with any country. On and on for decades. Those films we see, of the Iranian people burning our flags, the films our government continually said were terrorists. They were Iranians, hating America, because of those sanctions and tariffs that are killing their people. Starving their people. Which is the intention. Weaken them, protests come eventually, and the US/Israel use this to sell War to the American people. See, they want Democracy, we are going to save them. Iran is already infiltrated by the CIA and paid militias to violently disrupt and murder protesters, to make us believe its Iranians trying to overthrow their government. These same tactics were used in Syria, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Yemen, etc, etc, most of South America. We pillage and plunder around the world, then have the audacity, I should say propaganda, to label Russia and China the threats. Disgusting. They don't have nearly 1000 military bases around the world. We do. The next country on the list, has 5. Israel and the US want to install another base in Iran. We want to be the only country's that have nuclear weapons in the middle east. If I were Iran, or any of those other countries, I would want Nukes too. These country's only have problems that can't be resolved because of our interference. We make our money and profit from war.
Completely agree and well said! Americans are so f*cking ignorant! we are the bullies! I hate us too! Everyone is all too ready to demonize Iranians, Iraqis, whomever. I didn't say so at the time because i would have been crucified, but when 9/11 happened, I thought, it's about time. not that innocents deserve to die, but that is what happens - the uber wealthy elites destroy everything for their gain and lowly people pay the blood price. they are the ones who deserve to die!
It's so embarrassing to live in America. It's humiliating, really. We get fleeced by our government and the corporations who own them, all so this handful of "very special people" can carry out their most inhuman desires. Our work and the money we spend goes nowhere but up. Straight up to these monsters who only exist to bring suffering to the majority of humanity. I'm so sorry, to my fellow "captives" in America, perhaps more so to the rest of the world which receives the brunt of American ugliness. So, one cannot "sponsor" a family to come? There is no way to get them here or to, maybe, Canada?
