Fellow readers, the numbers alone are staggering—tens of thousands dead, hundreds of thousands injured, and now children dying of starvation. But beyond the statistics are lives like Osama Balousha’s, a photojournalist whose lens once bore witness to Gaza’s reality, now silenced in the rubble of his home. When aid is blocked, when civilians are forced into shrinking “humanitarian zones,” and when famine spreads under siege, we must ask: what does justice look like in this moment? I hope we can keep listening, questioning, and refusing to let these stories fade into abstraction.
On 25 August 2025, Israel struck Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis twice, killing 22 civilians — including journalists, doctors, rescue workers, and a 14-year-old child. Today, the Hind Rajab Foundation and the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights filed a complaint to the International Criminal Court, exposing the full chain of command behind the massacre. Our investigation proves that the Golani Brigade engineered and coordinated the attack under continuous drone surveillance, the 188th Armored Brigade executed it with guided missiles, and senior commanders up to Prime Minister Netanyahu authorized and enabled it. This was not crossfire, but deliberate killing with genocidal intent. Justice demands accountability.
Please refer to any attacks by Palestinians or West Bank Arabs as "counterattacks" when they occur against Israeli targets and citizens as they are no ;anger terrorist events but simply counterattacks by Independence fighters.
I hit the like button but there’s nothing to like about the news. This part in particular makes me despair: “Republican Rep. Mike Lawler of New York and Democrat Rep. Josh Gottheimer of New Jersey are pushing to fold the “IGO Anti-Boycott Act” into the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act. The amendment would punish Americans with up to 20 years in prison or $1 million fines for boycotts of Israel and its settlements.”
So much for American freedom.
If the United States breaks up, would the N.Y.- N.J. area become a satellite of Israel. I grew up in northern NJ and it already feels like that.
Proof, as if any more is needed, of the mainstream media's bias: the only Israel-Palestine story I recall seeing from WaPo or the NYTimes in recent days was the one about the Israeli bus-stop incident.
Call on Pope Leo XIV to do whatever it takes to save Gaza and stop the bombing, and end the starvation. Let him go to Gaza and stand with the suffering people who are being massacred by Israel and the Western posers. He can go to Gaza right now, and insist aid be allowed in.

Evict Israeli weapons manufacturers, Easy Aerial and Crye Precision, from the Brooklyn Navy Yard and establish a policy of no weapons manufacturers.
“Since September 2024, a decentralized coalition of Brooklyn Navy Yard neighbors, workers, and community members have organized under the banner Demilitarize Brooklyn Navy Yard.
The landlord in question is the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC), a non-profit developer charged with managing business leases at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, which is owned by the City of New York.” Story from Mondoweiss
“What we are fighting for is right and just, and that the Palestinian people are facing much worse. As we chanted yesterday on our march: We are the people, we won’t be silenced, stop the bombing now now now now!
Thank you for continuing to campaign for the Palestinian people in their darkest hour.”
Activists from 44 countries have launched the largest civilian flotilla in history at the end of August in an effort to break Israel’s siege on Gaza and deliver humanitarian aid to the starving population of the enclave.
The Global Sumud Flotilla, along with three allied initiatives, will send dozens of boats from Spanish ports on 31 August and Tunisian ports on 4 September, aiming to establish a humanitarian corridor and confront what organizers call Israel’s genocide against Palestinians.
There’s a campaign to have the Delaware Attorney General, Kathy Jennings, dissolve the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) which is incorporated in Delaware. The group DELPHR has launched an effort to put pressure on the Deleware Attorney general, with a letter-writing effort. You can do your part and sign on here:

Here's a petition calling for accountability for the arrest in Switzerland of Ali Abunimah, of the Electronic Intifada, for the crime of speaking about Palestinian rights:
