U Mich is not the only university who isn't on good relations with the First Amendment. NYU Law School is telling student protesters to agree to give up their constitutional right to free speech or not be allowed to take their final exams. If you don't think this sort of thing ought to happen, here's a campaign to let NYU know this is not acceptable.

Call on the newly elected, American Pope Leo XIV to do what it takes to stop the destruction of Gaza, and the Palestinian people. Is there anything more important in today's world than this?

RIP, Pope Francis. I feel sure he will go to Gaza in spirit. Everyday, while he was alive he spoke by phone with the Holy Family church in Gaza. Let's keep the pressure on.

We, call on the newly elected, American Pope Leo XIV to do whatever it takes to save Gaza and stop the bombing, and end the starvation:

DropSite continues to set the standard for independent reporting. If anywhere online a subscription is worth the money, it is here, where journalism shines. Think of the years we the people paid for newspapers that were primarily advertising outlets, thinking them a source of news. Ditto with ad supported "free" TV. Money takes over whatever it can get involved in for profit. This is precisely what has turned an effort at liberty and justice for all into a supporter of ethnic cleansing. DropSite gives us reason for hope at the very time we are seeing so much reason for despair.

Great report on the Michigan shenanigans. It's just one more drama of dodging officials trying to crack down on criticism of Israel without trampling the First Amendment -- a fool's errand.

The Israel lobby and it's generous donors are pulling the strings making prosecutors like Nessel and university presidents dodge and dance around free speech.

Meanwhile, it's great to see that Trump negotiated a deal with Hamas-- and left Israel out of it. There is some daylight between our government and Israel's government. May that lead to a severance of puppet strings that o

Israel yanks.

You should reach out to Andy Levin, Carl Levin nephew that was ousted by AIPAC. I don’t know Andy, but I use to campaign for Carl when I lived in Michigan in the 90’s.

This feature is an excellent example of how bias and intolerance and the use of influence distorts and corrupts the rule of law, taking a situation that is protected by the Constitution ( free speech) and using the legal system to inappropriately penalize those we might not agree with or who take peacful action to speak out, inform and influence others, when laws and protections of basic civil rights are discarded and legal and carceral systems threaten or use retaliation. This happens once and if allowed to stand can be used in any situation that has little to do with laws or justice and much to do with abuse of power and influence. Injustice for one is injustice for all and is misuse of power that should never stand.

Stand up like a woman and face the heat for your own disgusting acts of free speech repression.
