Thank you for sharing your anguish. I am sharing this with everyone I know. It makes no sense to me that the world is indifferent to this genocide. We are crushing the souls of the young everywhere. We are killing off all the dreamers, leaving the planet to cynics and psychopaths.

The way I see it lately the world sees this killing fields as business as usual. The timing can be none better as the world is reeling from seeing Trump onslaughts on everyone who does biz with the US. So the attention went astray. Thoughts of the economy over this horrendous and free-for-all IDF soldiers to target practice and the Israel testing their new war machines and weaponry before they got manufactured and sold to other countries ( Antony Lowenstein ).

As an American Jew I am horrified at what the Israeli Government, meaning Netanyahu and his right wing thugs, is doing. This is not Israel, it is genocidal power hungry madmen. They should all return to Brooklyn where they belong and where they are nobody. This is not Judaism it is genocide and against everything Judaism and humanity stand for.

I'm afraid it is indeed Israel, and also the US and everyone else supporting it. Anything less is a denial of fact.

Israel could not do this without USA money and weapons. Shame!!!

I am so sorry for the loss of your precious colleague and valued journalist, killed far too young. And I’m sorry for the hell on earth he and others had to suffer in the months preceding his death. I pray this genocide will end and Palestine will be free.

May Hossam's soul rest in peace, he died a martyr. Killed by cowards.

Is there justice in this world? The western world who are the “flag bearers “ of democracy are ones who are indirectly responsible for this genocide and humanitarian crisis. Remember “Reap what you sow”. America and Europe should be ready of consequences as a result of their inhuman acts towards Palestinians and mankind in general.

Directly responsible. This is and always has been the US's genocide with the cruel, conscienceless and cowardly European/US Israeli Zionists strategically placed on stolen land and trained from day one to be the Empire's hit men. They could do nothing without the $$$billions in US/European lethal weapons of death and destruction.

I'm so sorry for the loss of this courageous and beautiful young man.

This relentless killing of innocents continues as if it’s normal, while the world stands by, unable to intervene for fear of a superpower’s retaliation. As someone who doesn’t believe in an all-knowing and all-loving deity, I recognize that there will be no divine punishment for the evil that openly commits genocide in Gaza. However, I do believe that retribution will come from the sons and daughters, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, grandchildren and aunts and uncles who survive this Armageddon. It will arrive when least expected, and I hope to witness that day!

Yes, I agree with retribution from the current victims. Any child left living from Gaza will be affected for life by the physical and emotional injuries they are suffering. As the victims of the holocaust are now committing genocide, the current victims will want to commit genocide. We need peace now and protection, healing and reconciliation for the victims.

I have been ride or die pro-Palestinian since I studied international relations in the 70’s & my best friends were Palestinian. Through the years I have attended Peace Now gatherings, marched, written, called, emailed, bought the olive oil & boycotted but I am totally undone by the open massacres we are watching now & don’t know what to do. It’s true, after the phony “ceasefire” Israel is embarking on the new Nakba. trump gave them the murder permission & starting the war back up is the only way for Netanyahu to pause his trials—& the Quatar inquiry. This is depravity enshrined.

I am so sorry that this has happened to yet another journalist - targeted and murdered by Israel. It is painful to read of another young person of such intelligence, journalistic talent, and courage to have been martyred so brutally. Hossam Shabat. Say his name.

I’m sorry Sharif, for the loss of a friend and a colleague.

What the hell is wrong with the world!? With All the Arab countries!? Surely they have enough money to hire someone to STOP THE GENOCIDE- if they don't have enough soldiers or weapons to STOP NETANYAHU individually!!! Silence and inaction is Total COMPLICITY!!!

I can answer that question. MONEY. The Saudis want to exploit and develop the land. They want to cover it in concrete and erect concrete towers in collaboration with American filth because they are ignorant, greedy and care nothing for life.

Why blame the Arab countries? We, the USA, are the ones doing this. And we are supposedly a democracy. Why can't we, the citizens, stop it? The weapons manufacturers here "lobby" (bribe) almost all of our elected officials so that they want more war. We must do everything we can to stop it.
