Ceasefires mean nothing when attacks continue and civilians bear the brunt. Gaza’s people deserve protection, aid, and the world’s attention—not silence.
The “ceasefire” that President Trump flew to Israel to announce is anything but a cessation in fighting.
If Donald Trump was as committed to ending the fighting as he claims to be, he would’ve pushed Netanyahu to commit to a permanent end to the Israeli campaign as soon as he had the opportunity to do so. Instead, he sat back and watched as Israel continued to bomb, starve, and displace Gaza’s population.
If the actions set in motion over the last few weeks actually do result in peace, the Palestinian people will be able to exhale and begin the arduous yearslong process of rebuilding Gaza. When that happens, the world will be too busy resurrecting Gaza’s infrastructure, reconnecting loved ones, and hopefully, taking tangible steps to establish a Palestinian state to spend even a moment commending the architect of nearly a year of senseless bloodshed.
words cannot begin to describe how I feel about "serial killers masquerading as a state", but vile, evil, disgusting describe something of what they are.
"Scahill said, “Israel has been constantly assassinating any Palestinian willing to make a deal. And people around the world should be asking: why?”"
Indeed, "Why?"

Time to share autonomy or separate states that create the autonomy they deserve
