Thanks to investigative journalists like and including you, we have recently been learning about two different forms of power brokering by Jeffrey Epstein, the well-connected money man: providing "groomed" young girls for the passing pleasure of powerful men and brokering military and diplomatic deals that boost the power of the Israeli right wing. Each activity seems to have been profoundly corrupt, but in an apparently very different fashion. Here, finally, we get a glimpse of how closely they have been linked.
This is an astounding article, but alas, not a surprising one. I'm not surprised that Epstein and Dershowitz worked together to subvert the academic work of Mearscheimer and Walt. I'm only surprised that we didn't know about it until now. Epstein was evil, and Dershowitz, well, what can you say about a man who wrote a legal tome that tried to justify torturing "terrorists" under the bogus "ticking time bomb" scenario?
Very happy to have cancelled my subscription to The Atlantic a few weeks ago. I will continue doing my best my to avoid supporting yet another mouthpiece for Nazis operating under another name in another country.
