Trump tried to enlist the newly allied Kurds to his war. The U.S. discovered they were highly skeptical of being dragged into conflict by a foreign power.
hopefully not. does anyone else worry that the israelis, to scuttle any negotiation with Iran, will blow up the room even with JD Vance in it? they don't care about anyone else.
would that FINALLY be enough to end the US's subservience to this tiny rogue state that has no more "right" to exist than any other country?
I was really pleased to see that the Kurds did not take the bait this time, we’ve already done them enough damage with promises unfulfilled. If ever a people deserved a homeland and peace it’s the Kurds.
yes, i was going to ask that. we handed a country (someone else's already occupied country but oh well) to one religious group but haven't made a country for these people? i'm also happy that they refused to participate in America's hopefully doomed military excursion
The Kurds are an admirable people who, like the Armenians, have been shit on repeatedly. I have Kurdish neighbours and I’ve had frequent chats with them over the last few years. Once the Kurds do establish a homeland I hope they dont do what the Armenians did and almost immediately get into a war with their nearest neighbour.
"that Israel and the U.S. were merely seeking a new, undemocratic hegemony in the region, and 'preparing a new Shah' to replace the Islamic Republic." if only the USA would learn to butt out. i'm hoping that a humiliating defeat in Iran will clip our wings. i'd like to live in a functional nation for a change instead of a dying Empire fighting to delay it's inevitable decline.
" 'If you ask me, is Israel good? No it isn’t. But it looks like Israel wants to give some respect to the Kurds—that’s why people think like that.' " i hope they realize that israel will stab them in the back and genocide them once it's gotten it's use out of them, don't fall for their deception.
Thank you Alexis. I learned a lot about the Kurds from your recent appearance on Drop Site News live video. I feel very fortunate to be able to hear from someone like you who is actually on the ground and understands and conveys well basic facts and nuances I would probably never otherwise know. Your work is invaluable.
Can someone ask China to start making LEGO AI videos explaining the Vanguard Party? We don’t teach every child how to read because it’s not profitable, or beneficial to the filthy parasitic ruling class. On the other hand, the Islamic Republic of Iran, despite crippling sanctions, makes sure every Iranian child can read. Solidarity.
They’re not “guns for hire.” They just refused to be used—again.
Does anyone trust the US and israel?

I doubt it. Pakistan is a nuklear armed nation and pakistanis (not gov) hate israel to the core. They would imma demand to attack israel
i wish someone would before they completely destroy Lebanon

Thanks for this. Crucial for the Kurds to see their real enemies are the US and Israel - and the new terrorist in charge of Syria.
