Zohran Mamdani’s victory is historic and inspiring, yet reading about the devastation in Gaza, Sudan, and Lebanon makes it clear that our attention and action cannot stop at our city borders

Hail the quack conjurers of Baal, The Master Deal Maker, his accomplished accomplice Deal Breaker Netanyahu, whose binding word 'ceasefire' delivers a pave graveyard of A JOURNAL OF THE PLAGUE YEAR. "One mischief always introduces another." Daniel Defoe p.29 for EVERYMAN to sink the heart.

I've been wondering who's actually behind the RSF - thanks for reporting that, indeed, the UAE is a large sponsor as I suspected.

It's really difficult for me to think otherwise... I can’t help getting the sinking feeling (and I actually started to get "it" a couple months ago) that it is perfectly fine with the people who run our power structure (in other words, our rulers who completely control us, as George Carlin has quipped) that Mamdani won.

Since the U.S. power structure/gov't is bought and sold, controlled by, certainly completely by AIPAC/zionists (as has become quite obvious… became obvious quite a long time ago actually), and we know for certain the depths of depravity/violence of which zionists/Israel are capable, including targeted international assassinations of people they want out of the picture, I just can’t help thinking that if "they" really wanted Mamdani gone (if he was truly considered that much of a threat)... then he would have been taken out, or removed from the picture, in some manner.

One of the things I think is... that maybe having Mamdani as mayor actually serves a huge, and very important, purpose for the power structure (whether "they" are willing to put up with what he represents to them because of his deeper "purpose" for them... or perhaps he does not really represent what we/progressives think he represents, and our power structure instead knows what he is really about... ???), by creating this “illusion" that there is still some sort of supposed “democracy” in this country, and potential for supposedly progressive voices to get elected to gov’t. It is very important that this total “illusion” of democracy be maintained by the power structure for as long as they possibly can here in this country, otherwise chaos would (or might) ensue ("might", because perhaps U.S. citizens don’t truly care about living in a democracy, and really just like being told, or thinking, that they do instead… who knows?).

Anyway, I REALLY really hope my suspicion/feeling is wrong about Mamdani, and that his election becomes a symbol of hope and possibility.

Wow. Surprise Surprise? The oligarchs are preparing to abandon Trump and move the Presidency over to the Dems (2028!). See! Democracy (oligarchy) really works! Trump is done. The oligarchs are letting his “movement” crumble. Whew! Now the good guys are back! Healthcare! Nope. Housing! Nope. Infrastructure! Sorry. It’s all Trump’s fault. Darn it! He ruined everything thing forever…
