Such a terrible litany of injustice and hardship and suffering over the years. Now the genocide and starvation and bombings with no healthcare system or homes to live in to endure. I am so sorry.

I can’t imagine the terror. I have been protesting since 10/8, calling and writing to my elected representatives, posting on social media and making yard signs and will continue to use my voice here in the US. I pray for you and for Palestine. No one is free until we are all free.

I’d like to post a link to this story on my IG.

As a citizen of the US, I apologize for what my government is doing to you. Many of us protest, contact our politicians but they are unresponsive. The hardships you and your family are going through are just too cruel. Israel is a cruel, heartless, and despicable group of evil people.

Can any decent person still tolerate a demand to say, "Israel has a right to exist?"

Does anything, or anyone, have a right to exist, at THIS expense? At the expense of everyone who once lived on the land it decided to steal? At the expense of everyone who exists anywhere near it? At the expense of our collective concept of international law? At the expense of our souls, as we continue to fail, to stop this freakishly sadistic holocaust?

Nothing has that right.

No it doesn't have the right to exist. The current government should be removed, the state should be renamed Palestine, and new elections should be held. "Israel" does not have the right to exist. They have been given every opportunity and haven't taken it.

I subscribed, but we are living on Social Security. I wish I could say something comforting, but we have to face the fact that "Israel" is a genocidal state. Frankly, I wouldn't want to be Jewish and live in or support "Israel." Be careful.

Hamza, You have a gift for writing. Your words make us feel the heartache that the people of Gaza have to endure. I live in the US. We are working to get our govt to STOP sending weapons to Israel. I am supporting Palestine Youth Movement. They are working to stop Maersk from shipping US weapons to Israel. Also they are supporting the People's March to Gaza on June 15. . Ten thousand people from 32 countries will go to Egypt to try and open the crossings. I hope it works. I hope it is not too late.

The more of your article I read, the more ashamed of my countrymen I became!. This tragedy created by the West is wholly unforgivable and many wish to see our political schemers in the Hague to face up to what they have done to Palestinians, for themselves and on behalf of the genocidal cult outside your fence. 🍉

Thank you Hamza for helping make life in Gaza real to us. we're alluding what we can to ensure the incredible resilience and determination -- and suffering -- of the Palestinian people ultimately overcomes the genocidaires! (Which includes my country -- the USA)

I cannot begin to imagine what you, your family and all Palestinians in Gaza are going through at the hands of genocidal Zionist, but this note is to let you know you have not been forgotten. I call and email my U.S. senators and congressmen to no avail, but I will not stop trying. It is the responsibility of every U.S. citizen to stand up for human rights, no matter where those rights are being destroyed. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family, and all the people of Palestine.

Zionism is settler colonialism, a process that commits genocide against the indigenous population, destroying their villages and towns, and stealing their homes. Zionists are simply home invaders writ large, justifying their inhumanity with more inhumanity. Christian Zionists suffer from the delusion that they will be forgiven for ignoring the parable of the Good Samaritan.

Your letter breaks my heart and ridicules the white privilege I enjoy. I am sorry and disgusted that you and yours are suffering this genocide. I will write more letters to politicians to shame their immoral support of Israel.

Hamza words seem superfluous in conveying our absolute sorrow and dismay in reading about the barbaric, experiences that your family and you have had to endure for so many years. Global politicians are bereft of humanity, including our Australian politicians. Will continue to support UNWRA in the hope their services are reinstated in Palestine soon and pray that the people of the world stand together to oppose the continued genocide in Palestine.

No words. Just pure insanity.

Humanity has lost its way. With all the acceleration in technology, it seems like emotional intelligence and human empathy have fallen behind. Are humans becoming more machine-like? How is that different from AI? Flesh and blood versus metal, just a container for the inhabitant.

What do you mean, how is that different from AI? We built AI by copying one trick from the brain—neural networks. Your brain is about 1.4 kg of mostly water, fat, and protein firing electro-chemical spikes inside a meat exoskeleton.

It runs on roughly 86 billion neurons, each linked by up to 10 k synapses. That tangled web is what we call “intelligence.”

We’re not special—just apes with about three times the cortical neurons of a chimp, less fur, and the ability to dump heat by sweating. Everything else is narrative we invented to feel important.

This story of cruel injustice deserves to be heard far and wide. I will continue to write my Congressional representatives and to protest on behalf of Palestinians. These actions are not anti-semetic!
