The NY Times'behavior is a disgrace to journalism. I canceled my subscription earlier in the year, because the coverage of the Israeli war against Gaza didn't add up with information from other sources.

The MSM and the states involved don't appear to care if we suspect, and or know, they are lying to cover their butts on the Gaza genocide. One scenario on why they don't care is they don't think we'll be around to remind them of their perfidy. We'll be dead.

Cancel- it’s a form of boycott.

The New York Times has carried water for the Israeli government for decades. In politics, they act more like an arm of that government than an independent American entity.

But, so do the controlling operatives of the Democratic Party.

I have been closely following the Gaza conflict for years, especially since the Hamas raid. You'd have to be blind not to recognize that Netanyahu and the extreme members of his cabinet have a clear agenda: drive all of the Palestinians out of Gaza. Or if that can't be done, simply exterminate all of them since they are just "animals." A further Israeli goal, which has now been openly declared, is to drive all of the Palestinians out of the West Bank. Extermination would probably be a second option there as well. By what moral equation does the Jewish holocaust gives Israel permission to exterminate the Palestinians?

By weaponizing the Holocaust. Anyone objecting is anti-semetic. If bad people commit genocide, that is a holocaust. If "good" people do it, no problemo.

And people think the New York Times is left wing. Nope

Sadly, they think reading it means they are informed. The NYT has become an agent of manipulation rather than a source of news.

The Hind Rajab Foundation has filed a case with the ICC against 1,000 Israeli soldiers for war crimes in Gaza.

I swear, if B.S. was concrete, the New York Times would be the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The only relevant part of that paper are the reader comments, which continually demonstrate a grasp on reality that the Times completely avoids like it was the black plague.

The puzzles and cooking are fun, but that's all the NY Times is good for.

This group can also use y/our help:

Combatants for Peace, https://cfpeace.org An Israeli organization, made up of former soldiers and fighters who have turned their life efforts towards peace. In the US you can donate here: American Friends of Combatants for peace https://www.afcfp.org/contact-us/donate

And while we are at it, UNRWA can also use our help. If our governments won’t act in accordance with humanity, then we will. https://www.unrwausa.org/donate

Isn't it "interesting" about Israel's nonstop attacks on UNWRA? Other countries are restoring funding. Israel's message can be construed as reaching into the US: Recently UNWRA's Sr. Director of Philanthropy, Hani Almadhoun, lost his brother, who was a chef for the Gaza Food Kitchen, in a drone attack. A year ago he lost another brother and his family.

Thanks for this valuable insight into the major media manufacturing consent with false flags to expand war toward Iran and take eyes off the genocide in Gaza.

How many in the field journalists have been purposely killed by the IDF?

If it wasn't for independent internet reporting of news the MSM would have

Netanyahu walking on water.

The Zionist spin is in. The eternal victums are liars and killers.Their arrogance at

getting away with the slaughter of innocents will catch up to them.

Meredith Hobbs's avatar

Israel has killed 195 Palestinian journalists and counting.

Nevin Oliphant's avatar

Of course Zionists call Palestinians liars, killers and animals, they are simply projecting their own traits onto their victims. Simply viewing the carnage and dead children in Gaza is enough to realize who the real animals are.

I have found Al Jazeera English to be an excellent source of world news. Their commentaries offer fresh insights without a USA bias, and their documentaries give a good historical background to today's news.

I doubt that Israel says anything that is true. The only thing it does that is true: the destruction of a livable Palestine and the people who lived there in peace with Christians and Jews for 100s if not 1000s of years. Israel and a huge proportion of Zionists are an affront to God and the Truth. Even worse Their lying, raping, torturing and murdering of especially women and children, and purposely maiming many 100s of Palestinian children is obviously the perfect definition of genocide. What a sick and vile community are the Zionists, who are not the real Jews. Zionists who refer to their possibly 500 years old bible and refer to their murderous God, Jaweh, are like cannibals who in the modern age continue to eat people and defend the practice because they've always done it in the distant past as well as the present. I'm shocked and disgusted and feel nothing but contempt for the country, it's leaders and the people in the country who believe their actions are perfectly just!

Not the first time, they turn to fiction for a sensational story . Africa related ones also have ghost sources and fictional fact checkers on docs in foreign languages

The late great New York Times. Now just an overrated disinformation rag. The shame is that so many people still refer to it as “the” source for news. Especially folks of means who have no problem paying for the subscription.

ErisX's avatar

Interesting comment - " Especially folks of means who have no problem paying for the subscription."

I presume this means that 'folks of means' might be just as misled by the media as anyone, perhaps more.

All governments lie. Ours and Israel's lie with impunity.

JANINE HANNEL's avatar

Pointing the finger at Iran or whomever deflects attention that the Hamas attack might have been an intelligence failure by the Netanyahu administration. Might have been. It's also a deflection that the problem began Oct. 7 rather than because Israel has never been a democracy. Stories like this reveal the sham of dual loyalty, especially in the face of declining subscriptions. Given what might be called the Gazacaust, amazing whom is always the victim.

Having recently attended the “source” symposium organized by the center for investigative journalism; your story is blatant to the fact that NYT don’t need sources for stories . If there was a ranking ; they would win on fictional stories tagged editorial / especially relevant to foreign language evidence) and fictional sources linked to markets in Africa.
