That Hamas might be the most honest players of all those involved speaks volumes as to what shit show this is. All at innocent peoples expense.

You can see why Hamas insisted on a drip feed process. Now that the Israeli hostages have been released, Netanyahu is going to breach the agreement, citing a frivolous excuse

Our turn now. Hamas and even those fighting in Yemen have agreed to stop their ongoing defense efforts if the ceasfire holds. Time to make peace, whether Israel can support it or not. Defend the ceasfire for their sakes as much as for Palestine, for other nations in this area and for global recovery and environment. That is all of us.

Thank you for a well written and well researched report. I appreciate having a news source that actually talks to the people living in Palestine in order to report what is happening. Besides all the ways Israel has violated the cease fire agreement on Gaza , there is also the violence in the West Bank. So many , I think 40,000 ??, have been pushed out of their homes and land by settlers and the IDF. Many people have been shot. Roads have been destroyed. People have been fenced in by new walls. Israel is doing in West Bank the same that they did in Gaza and no one is holding them to account

The Hind Rajab Foundation has, among other things, filed a case with the ICC against 1,000 Israeli soldiers for war crimes in Gaza.

https://www.hindrajabfoundation.org/perpetrators/hind-rajab-foundation-files-historic-icc-complaint-against-1000-israeli-soldiers-for-war-crimes-in-gaza

They have taken further steps in recent days, and vacations are becoming a lot more difficult for IDF soldiers, worldwide. The Hind Rajab Foundation can use our help. Please join me in making a contribution.

You might find meaningful to watch the recent interviews that Glenn Greenwald did on his Rumble platform, and Ali Abunimah of the Electronic Intifada, did with the head of this organisation, Dyad Abou Jahjah. It was very informative.

Here's a petition calling for accountability for the arrest of Ali Abunimah in Switzerland:

A peace keeping force?! Couldn't hurt. Could act as a buffer as things proceed; keeping cooler heads to prevent further blood shed as things progress uneventfully?!

But Hamas has been doing the heavy lifting for 20 years with Palestinian consent. They will be a force to content with til "Palestine is free". The PA has been going the light weight lifting for Isreal. An Israeli police force maintaining Israel's orders. Being paid by Israel to do just that. Who do you think the Palestinian people will be loyal too.

The rebuilding should be done by those living their with help from those that destroyed it. The cost for this rebuilding should come from those that destroyed Palestine.

Indeed, I often ask why isn't the country which destroyed Gaza be made to pay for its reconstruction?????

Hamas is showing us how to work with what you have. I have always been impressed with a cook who can come up with a delicious meal, using what is on hand.

“To win a truly great life for the people of Israel, a great peace is necessary, not a fictitious peace, the dwarfish peace that is no more than a feeble intermission, but a true peace with the neighboring peoples, which alone can render possible a common development of this portion of the earth as the vanguard of the awakening Near East.”

Until Israel fulfills its side of the ceasefire agreement (letting in the caravans, tents, heavy equipment for rubble removal, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid) Phase I has not ended. Bibi cannot unilaterally change the terms of the agreement, much as he tries.

Netanyahu has shown a troubling pattern of dishonesty regarding peace talks with Hamas. His claims about the "most moral army" respecting Palestinians contrast sharply with their ongoing suffering and systemic oppression. This contradiction deepens as he accuses Hamas of undermining peace while enacting policies that escalate tensions.

Netanyahu's intent to expand Israeli territory through aggressive land acquisition in the West Bank, Lebanon, and potentially Syria poses risks for regional stability and threatens to engulf Egypt and Jordan in conflict.

While projecting concern for Israeli hostages, his true motives seem focused on self-preservation amid domestic pressure. He has limited negotiations to securing captive releases without addressing critical issues like Palestinian rights or Gaza reconstruction, highlighting a disregard for long-term peace. Many feel frustrated by our inability to influence governments against what some term genocide against Palestinians. In democracies, we can rally support for humanitarian issues by urging elected officials to prioritize ethical governance over powerful lobbying groups like the ADL. Despite challenges, we must advocate for justice and human rights, emphasizing that political survival should never compromise innocent lives caught in violence and despair.

Time to bring in the UN peacekeeping force (currently at the border between Lebanon and Israel ) expanded to a protective force, to protect the open aide corridors, for aide delivery and to assure access for the international repair and functioing of the water purification and sewage systems, to allow international and Palestinian medical personel and supplies into Gaza and the West Bank. The UN and other nations can enforce the ceasfire in the West Bank. If israel choses to continue to bomb these areas there should be soldiers and other essential personnel from every UN Nation, plus civilian aide workers, medical providers and supplies and PRESS representatives from around the world. ( I am ready to go there to help along with a USA delegation of grandparents. Want to join me as part of the USA delegation of citizens for peace? Let's go for the Children and Young People who have been the front line victims, unarmed but harmed, in this war. What Israel does obviously cannot be controlled. It is our world's turn there now, to call the shots to enact peace.

This is not about lying/not lying. It is about giving in to the Dark Side - falling into the dark part of humanity, in which your twisted logical allows you to accept and enact the worst possible brutality. Nobody is immune to this and it takes active rejection of it to have a civilization. israel (I no longer give them a capital letter) in enacting and enjoying this genocide, has done what appears to be, a self-cleansing by throwing the burden placed on its supposed ancestors off its back and on to a “lesser” people, pretending to throw off the burden of the Holocaust onto someone else. With that, they have spent any remaining currency embodied in that name, therefore “Holocaust” is now meaningless. Thus, we have to start over, and talk about “Gaza - never again” but this time, really mean it. Assuming that we pretend to have a civilization.

I think it should be "Stop being zionist." If the people of Israel took the words of Rabbi Hillel to heart they could live in peace in the Middle East: "That which is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow. That is the entire Torah, and the rest is its commentary. Now go and study."

Yes, they can't but trip up. And that they are chronic liars is not just appearance.

Just a historical reminder: It is estimated that the European Zionists who left Europe to steal Palestine and turn it into "Israel" as part of the lucrative Multinational Military-Industrial Colonial Empire Project are predominately between 40 - 60% of European blood. That Israel is a pure biblical "Jewish State" is in fact the first lie. Just as in the last 15 months all criticism of "Israel" and its genocide of the Gazans/Palestinians, and all expressions of outrage about the genocide and support for the Palestinians has been deliberately and aggressively, for political and economic purposes, been labelled "antisemitism" that makes "Jews" feel unsafe." That's Big Lie #2.

It is fully clear to the greater world, the Middle East, the Global South, South Africa and the bodies of International Law who have spoken out who exactly is being terrorized, tortured, bombed and is unsafe 24/7, imprisoned in their 25x5 mile "concentration camp" as well as in Israeli dungeons. This whole edifice built around staggering profits in land, oil and resources, is built upon a thicket of lies.
