As bizarre and maddening this may be, it makes me so much more appreciative of the factual and ethical reporting we get from Drop Site and a handful of other independent journalists who are not compromised in some way.

Mahalo Ryan,

You and Drop Site never disappoint! Thanks again for keeping us informed. Be safe out there.

If they weren't authoritarian sh!theads, or authoritarian sh!theads wouldn't support them.

Our foreign policy consists of little more than subverting democracy and propping up US business friendly authoritarians.

Also, I haven't forgotten when the NYTimes reporters asked the literal Nazis to remove their Nazi uniform patches before they took photos for war propaganda.

In Feb this year, US think-tank CSIS wrote in report on Pakistan economy "regardless of who leads the govt the country must" .. make changes including "privatising inefficient state owner enterprises". And gee, in Sept "Major oil and gas reserve found in Pakistan waters", possibly "worlds fourth largest".

https://www.offshore-technology.com/news/pakistan-oil-and-gas-discovery/#:~:text=A%20major%20discovery%20of%20oil,alter%20the%20nation's%20economic%20trajectory.

Pakistan has a lot of wealth in public ownership, incl energy distribution. Little wonder the privatization vultures including US are hovering around playing their mind games to secure the $$ killing. "Follow the money" should be essential in all news reports.

Is this another chapter in a Biden administration mismanagement of foreign affairs? If I am remembering correctly, it was involvement and encouragement (the State Department?) from the US that led to the removal and imprisonment of Khan and the military takeover of the country. A paragraph or two of context from a previous DropSite report on the situation would have been insightful.

Imran Khan’s ex-wife Jemima is not Jewish. She was brought up in a Christian family although her paternal grandfather was a German Jew. She converted to Islam when she married Khan

No wonder, the supposed mainstream media is a bogus media. We need to support organizations like dropsite news.

Thank you, Ryan, for another "Grim" reminder of how the US supports pricktators around the world.

The enfluence of the Zionists on the US governments pro Israeli GENOCIDE

has come home to roost. Even the rotten Pakistani military govt can throw

that in our face.

This reminded me of a similarly antisemitic article in the Times of Israel of all places! They published an article suggesting that Khan was a secret ally of Israel using nebulous links to his wife’s Jewish family and theories of a powerful Jewish cabal. Waqar Ahmed investigated and showed that everything was unsourced, it was largely written by ChatGPT, and the author had an ambiguous and questionable background including ads for $4 writing gigs on Fiverr despite having multiple grad degrees.

The JPost followed it up with another article making unsourced and hollow claims to the same effect. When I went back to search for the articles to refresh my memory, I also found The Nation had its own articles referencing the two Israeli papers. I’ll add links to everything I’ve referenced at the bottom. If anyone is familiar with this whole fiasco, I’d appreciate your input because I’m no expert on all this. Maybe someone from Drop Site could look further into it, seems right up your alley.

It is a very well written article. I agree 💯 with what you have explained about the unfortunate situation in Pakistan. I hope the corrupt government of Pakistan realizes soon how their actions are adversely affecting the growth and development of the country. Release Imran Khan, the true and just leader of the country. Thank you.

Besides: do you want NYTs staff to censor what a foreign reportet writes under contract. So much for uncensored free speach. Let your readers detetmine what's garbage or not. Counter arguments should be welcome
