Every day’s update out of Gaza somehow manages to be worse than the last. The combination of man-made devastation and now deadly storms wiping out tens of thousands of tents is beyond catastrophic. It’s hard to understand how anyone can look at this level of suffering and still talk about ‘security’ instead of basic human survival.

And for anyone who wants to come at me with "well what about China!?" I guess I'd ask the same question - well, what about China? Tell me. Tell me what it is that China is doing that even remotely compares to these other gruesome powers. I'm always up for learning, in case I'm missing something.
China does things that manipulate both people and economies but a large part of this is done domestically and some through social pressure on regions and leaders to perform, in certain ways, domestically. Internationally, the displacement of thousand of farmers to build a pipeline in Tanzania is one example of actions abroad with "permission" of governments, in exchange for projects that employed many Chinese and some locals, and left many Chinese living abroad, not really integrating well with local economies and still working to support China in future, in ways, like trade and starting businesses. I personally do not have a fear of China - for one thing, they avoid involvement in wars, though they make and sell weapons. I also realize they have lifted billions of people out of poverty in my lifetime. That is a good thing,
It is the love of power that lacks mercy. If not for the works of greedy men, those people would not be living in tents exposed to violent weather, starvation, disease, predator drones and the whole shitshow. This situation is man-made, and not accidental.
Little to do with a diety of any kind, I'm guessing, and if God does have anything to do with this mess, God best get their act together, lots better and real quick.

The hold-up of negotiations between Israel and Egyp for the sale of natural gas is just one more reason the Ceasfire must become a real Ceasfire in both GAZA and the West Bank. The critical stabilization of food, shelter and activities like schools and trade, in Palistein is also effecting Israel's abilities to thrive and recover economically, for trade with other nations to resume. USA politics will become increasingly unreliable under Trump and a Congress that may block aide if the genocide does not end. Israel can begin by allowing the Egyptian border opening to open, monitored by the UN, move in equipment needed to build safe housing and infrastructure in GAZA, as quickly as possible, and for food and medical aid to reach people there. The violent acts of Settlers in the West Bank must cease or they must leave their illegal Settlements in the area, escorted to settlements inside Israel by Isreli Army, and turn over their illegal settlements to house Palistinians, this winter, at least. There ARE solutions that will be backed by Isrelis and by the International community, that can end what seems to be an endless and unsolvable genocidal war. It is not working for anyone, in any way.
