I don't know if this is the correct question to ask, but I've asked it a few times in different venues:
What does Israel have that the majority of powerful nations on Earth either a) desperately want, or b) are in tremendous fear of?
I've never received an answer, but again, I realize I might be asking the wrong question. Perhaps it’s more complicated, but in the transactional world we certainly live in, I've found Occam's Razor to be the most reliable.
