I admit to being unable to read this report in its entirety; I had to skim through sections of it, it's so distressing. But I have followed events in Gaza very closely so this news isn't entirely new to me, although it is granular in a horrifying way.
It's also been excruciating to see just how utterly we have forfeited our collective soul, and whatever shreds of decency we still had any claim to, on the altar of unconditional support for Israel and the Zionist project of Jewish supremacy throughout the Middle East. This began long ago, of course, and was a big factor in the war of aggression on Iraq, the ravaging of Libya, Obama's bombing of Yemen and more. It's reached an apex now as we fund and support diplomatically the worst genocide, and the most horrendous war crimes, since WW II. I think of Primo Levi, I think of family who died in Nazi camps or who liberated them, and I know they would be left speechless at the horror and the betrayal.
