Re: the UN agencies' statement, I'm VERY skeptical that there are "[m]ore than 2.1 million people" left, and even though the statement was advocating for Gaza, I'm wary of anyone choosing to assert that number as a fact. Using the pre-war birth rate and (natural) death rate, 2.1 million people remaining in Gaza would mean that fewer than 200,000 people have emigrated or died due to the conflict. 100,000 people are reported as having fled, so... not buying it.
