I am sadly confident a next Democratic administration will do a worse job of handling this spiraling general crisis - but not as bad as the alternative - that is clearly not going away, absent a democratic Democratic Party.

3 things I would hope for, to at least delay neofascist supremacy:
1. Candidate that pulls Black turnout; crucial in a tight race. 2. an asymmetrical approach to offset Republican white working class capture. Not clear who best VP pic would be to fit that bill. But pandering to bigotry won’t work. Strength does. 3. Biden should at least shut Gaza down to extent he gets rid of Bibi, frees shipping lanes, and can pitch he avoided regional war.
Harris/whoever could use that.
Differentiating foreign from domestic policy in this moment is as antiquated as mind-body dualism. The two are one if you want to avoid “executive aggrandizement” via peaceful egalitarian democracy.
