I think it’s definitely possible they didn’t expect the amount of destruction that we’re seeing in Gaza right now. Israel has certainly targeted civilians in the past but not to the scale we’re seeing at the moment.

They knew the Israelis were rotten; they just didn't know until after Oct. 7, just HOW fuking rotten they were/are...to the core.
I am sure no one anticipated the horrors inflicted by the Nazis on Jews and other "undesirables" until it was too late. Same same Israel.
