I'm not sure about any of this, Ryan. The human mind always struggles to find order in chaos and chaos is Trump's specialty. The energy around these people is very dark so I think you're right about the "monsters" part. This sounds a bit like "Yes, he had some , ummm, "issues" but at least Mr Hitler gave us the Volkswagen Beetle. It's hard to believe there's going to be any reduction in hegemony as I sit here in Canada after Trump has postponed his tariffs but still says he wants to conquer us.
Here's another take: both Trump and Musk
are seriously mentally ill. Trump is the greatest con man who's ever lived and the tariffs are a stock market play where his buddies shorted the market, he threatens the tariffs, the market tanks like it did today, they make a fortune and buy back in low making another fortune.
Marco Rubio is no peacenik and Trump doesn't give a shit about fentanyl. It's a pain killer and why are so many Americans in pain? If he cared about the people he would be doing something for the middle class instead of hoping that tariff revenue will be able to cover his tax cuts for the rich.
You're also missing that this is straight out of Project 2025. From chapter 9: "The Biden Administration has deformed the agency (USAID) by treating it as a global platform to pursue overseas a divisive political and cultural agenda that promotes abortion, climate extremism, gender radicalism, and interventions against perceived systemic racism."
"CONCLUSION
The next conservative Administration will have a unique opportunity to realign U.S. foreign assistance with American national interests and the principles of good governance and more accurately reflect the U.S. taxpayer’s unmatched charitable desire to help those in need. It can build on a strong baseline of conservative reforms undertaken by the Trump Administration to counter Communist China’s strategy of world domination. However, this will require that bold steps are taken on Day One to undo the gross misuse of foreign aid by the current Administration to promote a radical ideology that is politically divisive at home and harms our global standing."
I think we're headed for a lot of monsters and very few Volkswagens.
Mental illness is usually a matter of perspective. But without a doubt, Trump is the greatest American con man to date. American foreign aid has always extracted a great price from its recipients and the nature of the price might well change, but I doubt it will get any better.
