Im trying to support a four or give person team of journalists in the south but in a tent and trying to keep alive some orphaned children who are sharing their tent with them. They are in dire need of food. They are scared and they are exhausted. There are over 49,000 orphans. The number of child amputees is far greater. Every day a classroom of children are killed. π’
We do, but some governments, including mine, here in Aotearoa, are refusing to issue visas, for Palestinian refugees from Gaza. Shameful! Free free Palestine π΅πΈπ΅πΈπ΅πΈ
I thought this sounded like a great idea until I spoke to a couple friends of mine in Gaza City, both female journalists. Apparently none of the journalists on the list of those being helped are women and the campaign does not even target those in the most dangerous parts of Gaza right now. There is a lot of favoritism in place in this program which is extremely disturbing. Neither of my friends, both of whom have been reporting from Gaza since the beginning have been able to get on the βlistβ of those being helped. One has 5 children to care for and is living in a makeshift tent on top of the rubble of her former house. They have nothing to eat or any other daily necessities and still she writes to insure that the world knows the plight of her people. She is an award winning journalist. How could she not qualify for this program? I am extremely disappointed in Drop Site for this injustice. Women, especially those with children need the support as much if not more than anyone else!
Please send me their names and contact info so we can vet and add (there are indeed women journalists on the list by the way; also most of the men on the list have women and girls in the family this is helping)

We need to give sanctuary to the Palestinia dyspora.
