These students, these educators - this is what true strength looks like. I doubt there are many people in this world right now that have as unbreakable a human spirit as these Palestinian survivors.
Such a stark contrast to the cowards of our time who hide behind unfathomable wealth, weaponry, technological asset and an unprecedentedly obedient press.
What better response to the evil and the brutality of Israel than to show that you can bomb and break buildings but you can't break the human spirit and the desire to learn and create normalcy in an abnormal place.

It’s astonishing that students have to study in bombed-out buildings while the world looks away. The determination of Gaza’s youth is heroic — but the fact that they need this level of resilience at all is an indictment of the systems destroying their futures.
Wonderful! We should all learn what's best in different religions and cultures. Education is considered holy by these people. Despite being tiny, Gaza had about 12 universities before Israel's atrocities. Isn't there also huge spiritual symbolism of Palestinians having more than 1000 olive trees, symbols of peace, destroyed by Israel--especially since many commentators say the Palestinians have nothing to offer materially. Especially now. Bless them.
This testimony to the value of education to this people shows how much they are needed in this world of strife and poor choices made by politicians. May these children survive and thrive to make peace and learn from the mistakes of human history, how far wrong racism and discrimination can go. Those in Israeli would be lucky to have this population as part of their nation but I fear that things have gone too far with Israeli's constant violation of the Ceasfire agreements. Both people can only win by making peace and Isreli making reparations of land and reconstruction of schools, hospitals and by turning over the new settlements they plan on (for illegal use) to Palestinians for resettlements of all Israel destroyed in Gaza and the West Bank. Any Jewish settlements within Palestien can be returned to the new Palestine government for reselltlement and to restore farmland and orchards taken or destroyed.
The Israeli administration - Netanyahu and right wingers, have done everything possible to make life unlivable in Gaza. But Palestinians have shown that life goes on despite the destruction of everything around them.
