Its so tough for Hamas to deal with the slippery Netanyahu and his Israeli stooges. Thank you Drop Site for this insightful coverage of a really tough situation.
So, if I understand this right, it's gun control for Gaza, but not for the US. It's we tell you what to do and how to live, but we believe in freedom for ourselves. I'm not grasping how this kind of thinking actually is supposedly be of benefit to anyone.
"Thinking?" Are you speculating that Netanyahu's Nazis want people to actually think and reason about what they are doing? It seems they are trying to force people through fear not to do that or speak about it. They have certainly gotten to the operatives of BOTH corrupt cartel parties in the USA to cringe and crawl from confronting the kind of evil that thinkers clearly see. There is NO SEMBLANCE of the caliber of Americans who joined in convening Nuremberg and the caliber of money-grubbing cowards running American cartel parties at this time.
This so-called peace negotiation is nothing short of pretense. What is happening in Gaza by every moral standard is an ongoing genocide (not a war), following an attempt by Hamas, to show equivalent force to the decades of the brutality meted out by the illegal occupier, Israel, on the occupied people of Palestine.
So very concerned about your journalist kidnapped by Israelis when they attacked the flotilla. The "crime" of the flotilla was of course to try to feed a starving portion of humanity, which tells us everything about the depressingly evil state of prevalent governments. Actually, I am concerned for all of the lives of you folks who are fearlessly reporting on the malfeasance of a murderous government who apparently has no qualms with killing anyone of any nation who won't cheer lead for their genocide and land grabs. Nazis can now only apparently be called "Nazis" by the corporate media when they are Catholics and Lutherans.
This article effectively illuminates the complex, high-stakes dynamics surrounding the Gaza ceasefire negotiations. It does more than just highlight the geopolitical chess match between Hamas, Israel, and the U.S.; it also underscores the broader struggle for Palestinian self-determination and the right to resist occupation.
The delicate balance Hamas faces—navigating the tension between rejecting Trump's terms and upholding its core principles—represents a strategic gamble with potentially long-term consequences for the Palestinian cause. The article also rightly points to the entrenched, often dangerous coordination between the U.S. and Israel, which continues to hinder genuine peace efforts.
What stands out is the urgent need for sustained international pressure and oversight to ensure that any ceasefire or peace agreement truly addresses the humanitarian crisis, respects Palestinian sovereignty, and lays the foundation for lasting peace, rather than just offering a temporary reprieve from conflict.
I particularly appreciate how the article highlights the human and political stakes behind these negotiations. Often, the broader context of resistance gets overshadowed by diplomatic narratives, but this piece effectively reminds us of the profound complexities involved. That said, one question remains: can we truly believe Israel is interested in peace? The answer seems clear—real peace won't materialize unless the global community, especially Western governments, demands it and holds Israel accountable for its actions. Only then can we hope for a resolution that genuinely honors justice and human rights.
FIFA and UEFA are meeting about whether to expel Israel from their tournaments. Take action today, because actions of this kind may be one of the only things that matters to those committing the atrocities against the Palestinian people. Tell FIFA to ban Israel from playing in the 2026 World Cup:
Drop Site truly deserves recognition for its excellent reporting of this human tragedy. More so than any other source I can think of, you folks have really shone a light where others have only promoted darkness. Thank You!!
On 19 September 2025, in Athens, the Hind Rajab Foundation filed a war crimes complaint against Naor Shlomo Dadon, a Givati Brigade soldier who documented his role in arson, home demolitions, and the burning of a school sheltering civilians in Gaza. While Dadon now attends a Greek “healing retreat” for combat veterans, HRF urged Greece to apply universal jurisdiction and prove that Europe cannot be a sanctuary for perpetrators of genocide and war crimes.
In the meantime, there's work to be done. Stop the techno-genecide
From AI to cloud services to propaganda, Big Tech is fueling the genocide in Gaza. There's a letter-writing campaign to join. The letter itself is a bit wimpy. Please feel free to add or revise it before sending.
Appreciate the hell out of you, Jeremy, and the entire Drop Site crew. Heartbreaking and rage-inducing to read about the Palestinians' impossible position as they continue to be bombed and starved.
Thank you for this report, Mr. Scahill. You've come a long way from emptying the trash and fetching coffee at DemocracyNow! Excellent reportage. Were it not for you and the rest of the crew at Dropsite, and your excellent work, I'd be at the mercy of the NYT or WashPost to glean what's going on; in other words, I'd be totally in the dark. Free Palestine!
your reporting is incredible, Jeremy. Thank you.

I'm just pointing out the contradictions to any who might be interested.
