In order to get an informed opinion of a conflict you have to be able to have a basic understanding of where both sides are coming from. Drop Site seems to be the only one providing readers with the "other side". Great reporting! Thank you.

Excellent report, guys. What I find fascinating is that Trump brokered a deal with the Houthis to stop attacking U.S. ships -- and did not include, or even try to include, Israel in the deal. That's a good sign.

Other news, unreported elsewhere as far as I know, is that the U.S. losses of Reaper drones and F/A-18s amounts to a billion dollars or more; and that the Houthis have produced armaments either on their own or with help from Iran, and are making up in resourcefulness what they may lack in money.

Lastly, taking a step back from the details in this report, the reality is that Israel's belligerence and brutality in Gaza (and the West Bank) has motivated Houthis, Iran, and likely Russia, to form a formidable alliance which makes it hard to see how Israel can have any end game (or exit strategy) in Gaza. That's also a good sign.

We need peace in the region, and Israel needs to be isolated militarily. The U.S. is its only ally and their seem to be cracks appearing. A great sign.

Everyone that I know is cheering for brave little Yemen.

It seems it has dawned on president Trump that the Houthis are an honourable adversary.

Not like the Zionist criminals they find seem to lie almost about everything.

Call for the newly elected, American Pope Leo XIV, to do all he can to stop the carnage and starvation in Gaza. The world is watching in horror at the carnage in the Holy Land/Middle East. The western powers have shown moral failure by failing to call for a ceasefire. We respectfully call upon the newly elected His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV to immediately take all steps to protect the Palestinan people who are being starved and bombed. There is nothing more Christ-like than to walk with the oppressed, and to comfort the afflicted. It is time to show that there is a real purpose for religion and religious leaders to take this step for the benefit of humanity and saving  precious lives.

If Yeman can organize and attach on all levels? It will be them, not the USA, or a larger power, who stops the genocide at great personal cose to their country. They backed down TRUMP, who doesn't know where Yeman is, and that kind of organization and awareness comes from NOT having everything you need. When you have nothing everything you require has to be found and used. The US forgets this on a daily basis and it is my hope that the REAL information about Yemen continues on Drop Iste. I am very grateful for this information. Again, I come here to learn the TRUTH! Almost no one in this country has any clue, what is going on in the region at this time. THank you Drop Site for keeping us informed!!!

US. Anti-boycott bill would send you to prison for being part of a BDS movement

Sound like freedom to you? Me neither. Here’s a petition we can sign.

Update! I just read that this bill has gotten so much opposition that it has, as of now, been pulled from the congressional calendar. This update came from Mondoweiss.

I applaud the effort of the Houthi's to engage Israel on Israel's terms! I'm saddened by the extraordinary violence, but the Israelis are setting the table and America is not lifting a finger to stop the violence perpetrated on the victims.

The Yemenis were just as brave when Biden was president, but of course he could never credit Muslims, Arabs, or darker-skinned people with such a positive quality

Time for all those wonderful, principled American Jews, to sue the ADL for defamation, slander, libel, and unauthorized appropriation! Make the ADL have to admit publicily, with every statement, that they do not speak for all Jews.

Of course it would require great effort, energy and money. Perhaps organizations would join, or a class action law suit.

I am sure there are those who would volunteer their services, and surely we could get crowd-funding to assist with the legal fees.

Does this sound like something worth doing? How can we help make this happen?

And same for UK and Australia, Canada, etc.

If you are Jewish, you could join Jewish Voice for Peace and maybe try floating the idea with them.

U don’t need to be Jewish to join JVP

I know that they say that, but what is the point of it being called Jewish Voice for Peace, if it is to be flooded with gentiles? That's like whites being allowed into the Black Panthers (which they were at first, but then later excluded for reasons).

Thank you for the suggestion. If I were Jewish, I'd be asking for support for the suit I had already brought. Therein lies the rub, as Shakespeare put it. But if the idea is good, there will be someone who will take it up. I have passed the idea on to several organizations. I think it is a new idea, and will take some time to percolate, so to speak. All help is appreciated if you want to help spread the idea.

President Bush used an intense bombing campaign he called Shock and Awe in Afghanistan before sending boots on the ground. Nevertheless, the war lasted 20 years before the US admitted defeat. At least Trump hasn't called for boots on the ground in Yemen. And he didn't include Israel in the peace deal because they wouldn't have accepted. Once again, a poor foreign adversary has defeated the mighty US military. Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, and now the Houthis in Yemen have defeated the most powerful nation in the world. Meanwhile, the American war capitalists have made a fortune off the American people in these failed wars.
