Let's not forget what Mamdani has already achieved: in winning the primary, he also defeated the Israel lobby, the pro-Israel media coverage, and laid waste to Bloomberg's $8 million donation to Andrew Cuomo.

Mamdani never campaigned on Israel/Gaza, but was forced to respond -- and he was succinct and steadfast in his views.

If the Israel lobby doesn't resort to dirty tricks, or worse, Mamdani's win in November will be a turning point in the power of the pro-Israel lobby in our elections nationwide -- and liberate politicians who are critics of Israel from being silenced.

I have nothing but bad thoughts when thinking about Israel’s right to exist. If I had a magic wand I would turn Israel into Palestine. Help me make it so UN General Assembly.

ANYONE WHO SUPPORTS ISRAEL IS A MONSTER.

No, Israel doesn't have a right to exist on stolen land and through genocide.

Zionists try to conflate everything in their zeal to savage anyone who doesn't cheer lead for their every aspiration for complete dominance. They are like Trump using religion for steroids.

One conflation is labeling all who espouse anti-genocide, anti-ethnic cleansing and anti-apartheid as being pro-Hamas and "antisemitic". That works with the corrupt operatives of America's TWO cartel parties because AIPAC pays both parties and their corrupt politicians handsomely to make it work. Making it work includes deprecating and doxxing American citizens who will not cheer lead with corrupt politicos because these citizens possess strong ethical boundaries and critical thinking skills, both of which are anathema to corrupt politicians and Zionists alike.

The second conflation is conflating a right for a nation and a people to exist with the right of a government to exist. We settled this at Nuremberg when we clearly accepted that the German people and Germany had a right to exist but the Nazi Third Reich government which perpetuated crimes against humanity, genocide and land grabs by seizing control of bordering nations by force could not be allowed to exist. A Zionist Nazi government has no more right to exist than did the Third Reich.

With "loyalty oaths" passed in 38 states, thanks to corrupt politicians and TWO corrupt cartel parties influenced by AIPAC bribery money placing preservation of the Israeli Zionist government above the preservation of the interests of American citizens and democracy, it concerns me that Zionists do not believe American citizens or their democracy have any right to exist. Should Zionists' aspirations in the Middle East go south, they could think of the US as their Promised Lands PLAN B. I doubt corrupt party operatives willing to support slaughter of children and genocide would have the spine or the ethics to support the rights of a government constituted by and for the American people to exist. The parties are already dismembering the American Constitution and the citizens Bill of Rights to make sure that government can no longer exist.

The dye has been cast. Israel exists whether we like it or not. The point is to make Palestine a state that is exceptional in every way that the Palestinians people are! Mamdani is doing an extraordinary job for a man who is caught between a rock and a hard place. Please cut him some slack. After all, he is running for mayor of New York City and has to please millions of people of various faiths and backgrounds. He is the most upright candidate I've seen! Even though some of his ideas may seem unusual to some, at least he's actually trying to help people instead of focusing on helping himself.

Most Definitely 💯. I couldn’t have said it better myself. They have been going after him hard. Not to mention the death threats and an actual attempt on his life too.

Cut him some slack…

I think Israel has a right to exist but not as an ethnonationalist apartheid state. I support Israel’s right to exist as a country with absolutely equal rights for all, no exceptions.

This excerpt is a bracing reminder of how principled dissent is punished in American politics—especially when it challenges the bipartisan consensus on Israel. Mamdani’s refusal to dilute his stance on Palestinian liberation, even under fire from both establishment media and activist critics, speaks to a rare kind of political courage. The smear tactics deployed against him—twisting procedural choices into moral indictments—are not just dishonest, they’re designed to silence. Hamm’s account captures the absurdity and the gravity of that moment.

A 30-second spot. The screen shows a poster for the movie Casablanca. Dooley Wilson is singing “… You must remember this…” QUICK DISSOLVE to footage in which Bogart, at a table in his cafe, is being questioned by Major Strasser and Herr Heinze. Claude Raines looks on, bemused.

RICK … I was born in New York City, if that’ll clear things up any.

STRASSER (to Rick, amiably). I understand you came here from Paris at the time of the Occupation.

RICK: Well, there seems to be no secret about that.

STRASSER Are you one of those people who cannot imagine the Germans in their beloved Paris?

RICK: It’s not particularly my beloved Paris.

HEINZE (with a slight laugh) Can you imagine us in London?

RICK When you get there, ask me.

CLAUDE RAINES (laughing) Oh! Diplomatist!

STRASSER (Digging into the caviar) How about New York?

RICK There are certain sections of New York I would not advise you to try to invade.

CUT TO a Mamdani for Mayor poster as Dooley Wilson sings “…The fundamental things apply, as time goes by.”

Ryan has done his fair share of smearing Muslim candidates and no one should let him or anyone affiliated anywhere near their campaign.

It's either unclear or ridiculous. To me, it read like an AI product. It made me curious to wonder what an AI bot would say, so I tested my curiosity on a couple of systems with the output posted below.

Ryan is a journalist who reports on campaigns. He does not try to BE the campaign, as so many jerks at the New Jerk Times claiming to be journalists try to be.

He is more of a propagandist than journalist. And I think it is very risky to let him or anyone affiliated with him to be embedded in any campaign to report on it because he is Islamophobic. I am speaking specifically as he was in the camp headquarters at the Mamdani primary as one of the few people let in to cover it. And I think only a matter of time before he smears him as he has done other Muslim candidates who did the same thing.

What other Muslim candidates did he smear? And are there articles where this was documented, or even articles he wrote where he did the smearing?

I have written a lot of articles on it. One main instance was Buttar in 2020. He was the editor for an article that was written by Akela Lacy. I spoke with him and Akela and Glenn and others behind the scene on this for maybe hours and have all my receipts. I was quoted in the article. But unless you know the behind the scenes, you will not see it. In reality, every single Muslim man who has run for office has had two smears: misogyny and anti semitic. Grim knew Akela put false allegations out there on Buttar on both these points and left it up inaccurate for months before fixing it using one of the largest smears known against every single Muslim man who had ever run for office. I wish it were more straight forward but telling instances of racism is not always so easy for people to grasp. Anyways I stand by he is unethical and the most racist I have ever worked with.

I doubt we are talking about the same person

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryan_Grim

But in a query to AI: "Is there any evidence that journalist Ryan Grim is Islamophobic?" : "...there hasn't been any widely acknowledged or credible evidence that journalist Ryan Grim is Islamophobic. Ryan Grim is a political journalist, known for his work at The Intercept and his coverage of progressive issues, politics, and social justice. While he has been a critical voice on various topics, including U.S. foreign policy, corporate power, and inequality, there hasn't been any specific, verified information that links him to Islamophobic views.

That said, public figures' views can be scrutinized or evolve over time, and their statements can be interpreted in different ways. If something new has emerged since my last update, I would recommend checking recent news reports or statements directly from Grim or his work to get the most up-to-date information."

AI bots cannot do contextual reasoning either, but can you provide any "...specific, verified information or evidence that links him to Islamophobic views"?

I know Ryan Grim. I worked with him for decades. I am professional media consultant and work on political campaigns for progressives. I have done this for 25 years. Ryan Grim has covered stories with me going all the way back to his time at Huffington Post. I was an early media pitcher on the Sanders campaign and dozens of other progressive ones. Things that Ryan has claimed his own success of his career on have used me as the source. I am speaking specifically about the trust that one candidate placed in him to cover his campaign and he went and wrote Islamophobic nonsense. I don’t trust him anymore.
