Apparently, no problem with Genocide in Gaza or Ethnic Cleansing in Lebanon - which don't affect the markets. But the attack on Iran offers opportunities in stock market energy price manipulation.
Trump lies about ending the war (the Hormuz blockade) and the markets jump. And some people made an awful lot of money. People with inside info.
On another note, gasoline prices motivate people more than the slaughter of civilians in Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon and Syria. Hmmm
That is a large part of our problem. Too many Americans are focused solely on their own situation and not the pain and destruction being done in our names to people in other countries, let alone in our own country.

I went to Cuba for 7 days in early February. What I found was that the Cuban people support their revolution, support their government, are somewhat perturbed over bureaucracy, but they blame the U.S. for their problems, not their government. You have constantly emphasized the futility of U.S. Israel actions to get the Iranian people to revolt against their government when, instead, nationalism and patriotism have actually rallied folks around their flag. Yet for Cuba, you suggest the people will rise up and overthrow their government. Not correct at all. Cubans have been under sanctions since their revolution took place, since 1959. They enjoy universal healthcare, universal education, and food subsidies for the poor. They see no reason to overthrow their government, although like most people throughout the world, they complain about it. But what your program failed to see was the resilience, inventiveness, patriotism, and rational thinking that the Cuban people have. Your program, like many leftists and Americans more generally, view the world as one revolving around America. If Americans catch a cold, other people (including Cubans) sneeze. If the U.S. snaps its fingers, the Cubans bow down in compliance. If American sanctions Cuba, then that is the end of the world, rather than seeing Cubans as resourceful and able to pursue other avenues for survival. Instead, Cubans are resilient. If there are power blackouts, people go outside and talk with their neighbors. If gasoline is in short supply, they call in sick to work and don’t go. Hospitals have alternative sources of energy, notwithstanding some that you saw that were not prescient. Cubans are modern people, enjoying and inventing their own modernity.
