We cannot launch into another endless Middle East war less than a decade after being decisively defeated in both Iraq and Afghanistan. And the indiscriminate US bombing of Iran is absolutely wrong, evil, and counterproductive. You can't win conflicts with force alone, as Palestinians, Iraqis, Afghans, Vietnamese, Malaysians, and countless others, even our own American history, have shown. It takes a winning narrative. Murdering 165 elementary school children does not help us defeat anyone. Iranians will only fight harder. Even in the US, we didn't genocide Native Americans by force alone; we had to create the myths of American Exceptionalism and Manifest Destiny to hold it together for 400 years. We are not even trying to create a narrative in Iran; they are trying to find a justification that sticks, just like George W. did for Iraq. We will lose this war too, at the expense of billions of dollars that should have been spent on Americans and the blood of thousands, possibly millions of Iranians.
