When I think of it as two individual countries with different self interest it doesn't make sense, But if I think of Israeli as a extension of U.S. imperialism and that Israel is a U.S. military outpost, the billions of dollars going to Israel, sharing of intelligence U.S. Veto support it starts to makes sense.
