You are right, but if there is anything that those trumpeting a rise of antisemitism in the US do routinely, it is avoiding all mention of Israel as having anything to do with it. This is an attempt to take eyes off of Israel and make believe that this supposed increase in antisemitism is nothing but pure evil and we should think of the Nazis, not of Netanyahu and the IDF. There is a term for this technique of distraction from the real cause by blaming something else - it is called producing a red herring.
The topper in all this is Netanyahu's claim that the US today is similar to what was happening in Germany in 1938!!!!
