The annexation of Palestine by Israel is illegal under international law, so US/Israel scorn the work of the UN. They won't recognise their own criminality. Like most I have problems with the Greater Israel concept because this is illegal and serves only the weapons industry.. I feel it would help greatly if a mass of international secular/liberal Israelis denounced very publically that idea as illegal and hostile to the rights of Palestinians and others. Dreaming, but still. I have from a 2nd hand bookshop an early Christian Zionist book "Seeing prophecy fulfilled in Palestine" 1937 George T B Davis which describes Israel as "from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the River Euphrates".
