Do what you can, sister. "Allah does not impose upon any soul a duty but to the extent of its ability" (Quran 2:286).

And keep in mind that "surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition" (13:11).

And remember, "Let it not deceive you that those who disbelieve go to and fro in the cities fearlessly. A brief enjoyment! then their abode is hell, and evil is the resting-place." (3:196-197)

"And let not those who disbelieve think that Our granting them respite is better for their souls; We grant them respite only that they may add to their sins; and they shall have a disgraceful chastisement." (3:178)

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, grants respite to the wrongdoer, but when He seizes him He will not let him off.” Then he recited: “Such is the Seizure of your Lord when He seizes the (population of) towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful (and) severe” [Quran 11:102].

Vengeance. I guess supreme beings are not immune, nor all that superior. No wonder humanity is an endless tragedy. Vengeance brings back no one, but it absolutely results in more lives wasted.
