Hurricane force winds raging from 70-100mph. My bigger issue is the fossil fuel industry and climate change. Not the mayor who relies on city staff to give alternatives and budget recommendations. Further a billionaire couple own 60% of California water. I'm more interested in how they obtained this ownerships and how they can own California water. Further climate change scientists have long warned about this issue. Especially in areas like the Palisades. In fact a climate change scientist...Peter Klamus (not sure of the spelling of his name) decided to move from the Palisades for this very reason a few years ago. He wrote an article about it. And you all spend all this time to say that $17 million was cut from the fire department...as it this had any impact what so ever on that fire. Further approximately 2000 prisoners - slave labor which California voters (not me and mine) voted to keep - are fighting the many fires around LA....so how were they short on firefighters due to that fiscal cut? Anyway I have been against the occupation of the Palestineans for most of my life ('m 73) and I don't want to compare our genocidal support to this fire. In fact the US does genocide very well. Been doing it for at least a couple of centuries. . This is what we do. Doesn't matter if Republican or Democrat. This is what needs to be addressed.
