I signed in to submit a comment but I found Ed Nuhfer pretty much said what was on my mind. Two addenda I have though: one, with the warrantless detention of a legal resident, we are beginning to get just barely an iota of what the Palestinians have been subjected to for decades. Who knows how close Mahmoud Khalil came to being "disappeared" to some "black site" or even to an Israeli prison camp? The arrogance, the contempt of Elvin Hernandez for the personhood of Mahmoud Khalil and for the laws and Constitutional rights of this country are abhorrent. He should be brought up on charges (as if the Trump DOJ would do such a thing). Yes, this is familiar, the toxic ooze of Israeli tactics is seeping in here.

Two, my opposition is also surely anti-killing and anti-genocide (as well as anti-culture-cide of Palestinian society and history) and as such I have no qualms about being Pro-Palestinian. Given the precept of Zionism almost from its very inception to expel the Palestinians from their ancestral homeland - a policy relentlessly pursued since the first arrival of European Jews in Palestine in the late-19th and early-20th centuries - anything "Pro-Israel" implicitly means to embrace this ongoing supremacist, segregationist, brutal, inhuman reality. Israel is built on the suffering, the elimination of the Palestinians. I see nothing redeeming about Israel. As Chris Hedges has written, "Israel was founded on lies" (https://scheerpost.com/2023/10/18/chris-hedges-israels-culture-of-deceit/) and it continues to lie. As such, if the quest for peace between Palestine and Israel is to have any semblance of a foundation based on justice, Israel needs to be dismantled.

Judaism is inherently ethnic supremacy, as written. Read the Torah.
