This story is absolutely heart breaking. How can the Israelis treat people with such total disregard for their humanity? It is sickening. I fear the human race is not going to make it as long as people can treat each other this way. We all suffer the consequences of man's inhumanity to man. The current administration is complicit in this travesty. No more arms for Israel.

It's not just Israelis! Wake up! The US govt and the US Jewish and Christian idiots support it financially as well. Abrahamism is the main ideological source of the Jewish slaughtering of children, and the Zionazi US government is a prime motivator of the same.
WaitтАФthis is what humanity is. Our entire history is written in the blood of the powerless. Massacres, conquests, genocidesтАФpick any century, any continent, and it's the same pattern. This isnтАЩt a glitch. ItтАЩs the blueprint.
We are just animalsтАФclever, social, territorial animals. Look at army ants. They swarm, conquer, and devour. We named them army ants because their behavior mirrors our own. So maybe we should start calling ourselves army hominids. The comparison is uncomfortably accurate.
A few people sitting around a table, writing noble-sounding laws, and declaring them тАЬhumanitarianтАЭ doesnтАЩt erase the primal patterns driving our behavior. It just adds a layer of hypocrisy.
Even if we removed scarcity, weтАЩd probably still kill each other over flags, gods, and ideologies. Because violence isnтАЩt some aberrationтАФitтАЩs our historical default. ThatтАЩs what army hominids do.
Yet I have always been hopeful that humans would continue to evolve and find a way to share resources, overcome selfishness, and work for the good of all. We have made great progress in that regard over our history and have become more humane than we were when we first became Homo sapiens, however lately it seems we are now moving in the wrong direction. Is there hope for us?
If you take тАЬevolutionтАЭ to mean post-WW2 cooperation, I think weтАЩre overestimating how much weтАЩve really improved. Honestly, if both sides didnтАЩt have nukes, there probably wouldтАЩve been a full-blown WW3 by the late 1960sтАФand it wouldтАЩve been even more fucked up than what we have now.
What we see now is great, and believe me, IтАЩd love nothing more than to live in peace and not give a shit about any of this. But that relative peace is mostly thanks to our ability to reduce scarcityтАФnot eliminate it. The moment scarcity returns in a serious way, weтАЩll go right back to bashing each otherтАЩs heads in.
