I hate to say, "duh", but this simple and obvious observation is still lost on a tragically large number of people.
One only need ask the descendants of Palestinian Jews how their parents and grandparents were treated when the European colonists arrived- understanding that many European Jews who migrated to Palestine after WWII were shell-shocked and at extremes of suffering themselves. The ideological game plan of Zionism never had any compassionate or inclusive ideas for the indigenes, only expulsion or subjugation.
absolutely. i would just like to add (expanding on something he touches on briefly in the interview) that the notion that antisemitism has existed everywhere and throughout time is itself a very eurocentric view. jews have escaped europe and seeked refuge in china, africa, and all across the middle east for centuries now. the ottomon empire sent their navy to bring hundreds of thousands of jews to the middle east during the spanish inquisition. its absolutely ahistorical, and typically racists, to place antisemitism on the whole world when it is always been white european self-proclaimed christians that have been the antisemites.
