Calling this a “Board of Peace” while bombs are still falling is grotesque. You don’t rebuild a territory while continuing to bomb it and detain its journalists under reports of torture. That’s not reconstruction — that’s leverage.
Demanding total Palestinian disarmament as a precondition for food, housing, and basic services isn’t peacebuilding. It’s coercion. Meanwhile, investors are salivating over a $50 billion coastline and pitching a “Mediterranean Riviera” while people are displaced and under siege.
If this plan doesn’t begin with a verified halt to attacks and the lifting of the blockade, it’s not about peace. It’s about control — with better branding.
International Peace keepers cannot control what Israel does. Please see my comment about what they can control, keeping Paletine safer outside Gaza and working toward other areas of Palestein to get aid to the West bank and then Gaza. Will Israeli soldiers attack International Peace keepers? Will Israel bomb them? Probably not, unless they wish to have the world shooting back. Rapid movement of Peace Keepers do not need to do other than protect Palistinian lands and people, and assure reconstruction and aide by protecting humanitarian aide and prorecting rebuilding infrastuctue efforts.
I understand the instinct to imagine that international peacekeepers could simply “hold the line,” but that assumes a level of Israeli restraint that history simply doesn’t support. Israel has repeatedly attacked UN personnel, peacekeepers, aid convoys, and clearly marked humanitarian sites. That’s not speculation — it’s documented fact across decades.
So the idea that peacekeepers could just move quickly, “protect Palestinian lands,” and Israel would simply stand down because of global opinion doesn’t match the actual record. Israel has acted with impunity even when the entire world was watching.
And even if peacekeepers weren’t directly targeted, Israel controls the airspace, the borders, the roads, and the supply routes. Without Israeli cooperation, peacekeepers can’t magically deliver aid to the West Bank or Gaza, let alone protect reconstruction efforts.
In other words: the problem isn’t the courage or capability of peacekeepers. The problem is that Israel has shown, again and again, that it does not respect international law, international observers, or international pressure. Any realistic plan has to start from that truth, not from hopeful assumptions.
We can hope circumstances change, but the reality right now is pretty stark. As long as Israel enjoys unconditional backing from the United States, it has little incentive to restrain its actions. In that context, expecting them to hold back from further atrocities just isn’t realistic. I do appreciate your comments and the spirit in which you offered them.
The failed casino operator wants to fail better in Gaza. To reinvent "The Strip" gaming their peace making with police, soldiers, private armies to insure their billion dollar investments tilt the pin-ball their way. To go amhamas, amok, reimagining the gambling, illicit wide-open days of Batista's Cuba. Their spread sheet accounts for land, sea, air, and slavery of the Gazans -- going in peace.
Begin monitoring and protection of Palestine with the first international Peace Keeping Forces by focus on attacks by the Settler communities and expell harmful settlers to Israel proper. Anyone taking part in attacks on Palestinian lands, settlements, town, orchards and grazing lands needs be removed. They are there illegally by International laws and policies. Their settlements are on Palestinian land. Jail these settlers if you must but peackeepers must keep the peace and stopping military or civilian Israeli populations and individuals who are a threat to Peace, is the beginning of Peace.
Honey, that is not going to happen. It Should. But, it will not.
These Zionists are ruling the Western world. The Western countries are making it a crime to speak badly about what Zionists are doing.....Anti-Zionism is replacing or adding onto antisemitism.
The USA is about to make a BIG mistake. Attack Iran to keep Natenyahooo out of prison and for Trump to get back at the world for loosing his tariffs and maybe even canceling the mid-terms.
I usually try to write about what is most likely to work (well?) (better?) (or at all has a chnace of a sane or realistic outcome), and start a process that has the goal of solving several problems and will have potential to work in our world. That's why women should be running the world. We are realists and pround of it.
