Thank you for informing us about this important case and issue. Arrogance and ignorance make for a deadly, but heady, brew. I wish them both the best of success.

"Rivas’s case is now the subject of a lawsuit filed today by the American Immigration Council and Consular Accountability Project," Let's help them with this:

Try telling this to Blue MAGA...

"“This is a policy that Democrats helped prepare over multiple administrations, though what Trump is doing is of a qualitatively different character. The use of tattoos to remove people under the Alien Enemies Act is certainly new,” said Lee. “I don’t draw attention to the role of Obama and Biden to diminish what Trump is doing, but at same time Trump didn't fall out of the sky. These policies have had a bipartisan character.”"

'In my day,' (as my elders used to say') this is the kind of injustice that would be pounced on & reported by WBGH (public tv), NPR, & 60 Minutes...I appreciate the inclusion of details of the case, and when using tattoos as evidence/reason to deport people began. I would not have known about this if Drop Site hadn't reported it. Thank you very much.

I am appalled/❤️-sick the decision to 'outsource' peoples' detention, let alone unjust & illegal detentions, was made without the publics' knowledge & input. IMO, we need a law that will make everything in the Terrorist Act illegal, including taking anyone/for any reason, including citizens and legal or illegal immigrants, off US soil & territories.

Embarrassingly, just last week I learned the purpose of such actions: Prevents US officials from having to uphold the same Constitutional rights all individuals have on American soil & territories➡️ making way for torture & inhumane conditions and treatment, and no due process.

I keep thinking of the young man sentenced who stole a picture off a hotel wall in North Korea, who was beaten & tortured for years, and who finally came home on a stretcher, comatose, only to die a very short time thereafter...Most Americans & many people around the world think we are better than that, but apparently, we are not...and hmm...our leaders, many with diplomas from ivy league and other institutions of "higher education," are (by their own & much of the public's estimation) intellectually & morally superior to gang members...make gang-type rules...

They don't recognize they are pointing "at the log in their own eyes." They too are a very monstrously-dangerous, terrorist gang...A gang that is also one that is an insidious danger to our country's safety & democratic republic...So, it occurred to me just now: what if, instead of a tattoo, a diploma from those ivy league & other institutes of "higher learning" were proof their graduates were members of a terrorist, monstrous terrorist gang threatening our safety...& so it would only make logical sense they be deported, condemned for life, to another country's notoriously inhumane, prison?

If anyone here can give me specific recommendations on how to help with this case (aside from calling my congress people, directing friends to this article, & donating $), I will very much appreciate it.
