We didn’t “steal people” from Africa. They were sold into slavery by other black tribes such as the Ashanti in Ghana which became quite wealthy off the slave trade. As for immigrants, I worked for many years with mostly immigrants who were legal in Chicago. Excellent people with traditional values. None of them approved of illegal immigration. Not a single one. As for illegal immigrants, there are now 50,000 in Chicago being taken care of at taxpayer expense. In what way are they being oppressed? You’re insane. A good example of why America is now a failed state in rapid decline.

I am an immigrant and came with my parents when I was 10. We came legally but because of my father’s heritage, he changed our name before he came here first to work and make enough to send for us. Even though he did, my mother and I were harassed and sent back “due to paperwork issues”. I was told never to tell anyone what nationality we were and they both stopped attending their faiths. I could go on and on, including how immigrant children were treated back then and in some places still are across the U.S. My parents chose to remain legal residents, but I became a citizen at 18 so I could vote. Calling someone names, such as stating I’m insane, is the exact issue of what is causing so much anger and hatred in America. No one can have reasonable discourse. You attacked rather than responded in a respectful manner. All I was trying to state is this country has a history of not always being so accepting nor welcoming to others.
