If the goal is to reduce damage, stop increasing loss of lives and begin restoration of basic survival needs and health services, provided by trusted sources, the USA seems unable to do anything to really help. Their hesitation to stop shipments of arms and funding to Israel would be the FIRSTstep in such a process, not the last resort, never mentioned as an option. When third parties ( not including the USA) negotiate a workable plan that can lead away from Genocide, toward peace and a workable outcome from both sides of the conflict, and including neighboring nations' buy-ins, then there is a roadmap to a workable solution.
