Israel is not defending itself. The US and Israel are committing genocide in Gaza and soon in the West Bank. There is no way to justify bombing a civilian population and cutting off all supply of food , fuel and medicine. Israel's goal is to eliminate all Palestinians from Gaza and West Bank. They will not stop there. They will try to take over Jordan Syria Lebanon. Their greed for more land knows no bounds.

Have you ever looked at a map of the Middle East. Israel is a tiny speck in a sea of Muslim countries. Yet, Israel absorbed and uplifted 800,000 Mizrachi Jews driven from their homes in the Middle East and North Africa. Arab countries, with vast land holdings and (some with) oil riches refused to take in Arabs who fled or were displaced from Palestine during Arab-initiated wars in the 1940's. Descendants of the Mizrachi Jews comprise the majority of Israel's current Jewish population. Every position in Israel's governance (except Prime Minister) has been filled, at one time or another) by someone with roots in the Mizrachi communities. Descendants of Arabs who fled Palestine or who were displaced during war time now number 6,000,000 "Palestine refugee" on UNrwa rolls. They've grown up seeing people honored and rewarded for killing Jews but their leaders insist the "refugees" will remain under UNRWA aegis until Israel takes them in.

Quite frankly Toby, idgaf. If you are still defending Israel to this day you are the problem. Stfu and take your medicine bc no matter what bs you spew it will NEVER justify

targeting and killing civilians. You don’t get to be the occupier then cry when the occupied fight back. Hamas isn’t perfect but the zionists make them look like saints when comparing atrocities.

The 1964 founding charter of the Palestine Liberation Organization specified that the PLO made no claim to lands (Gaza and "The West Bank") then held by Egypt and Jordan. The PLO's objective was "Liberating Israel from the Jews." Palestinian leaders remain in denial of the fact that the modern State of Israel is located in the Jews' ancestral homeland, an area which contained Jewish communities continuously during the millennia when most Jews lived in the Diaspora.

Ah yes I simply just don’t understand the history huh? Even if that were true I don’t need a history degree to see a genocide funded by the west. Judgement Day is coming for the true villains

I fear Judgement Day is not coming for the TRUE VILLIANS -- Hamas and their supporters; people who hate Israel for what it is (The Nation State of the Jews) and claim that Israel is the aggressor.

Totally untrue. The descendants of 800,000 Mizrachi Jews driven from their homes in the Muslim countries of the Middle East and North Africa, and subsequently absorbed and uplifted by Israel, comprise the majority of Israel's current Jewish population. That demographic was a major factor in Israel's chose of Hebrew (rather than Yiddish) as a national language.

The event you’re citing is a reason to hate Isn’treal. Jews were living in Arab countries just fine until Zionists started funding terror attacks across those countries lol.

The Arabs drove the Mizrachim out of their homes in Muslim countries because the Arabs were ashamed that Arab armies had failed to eliminate the Zionists and prevent the emergence of a modern Jewish state in the Jews' ancestral homeland.

Your understanding of this conflict and that time period in particular are vastly oversimplified. You really think the same group of terrorists: The Irgun, Lehi, Haganah, and Palmach who bombed plenty of British and Arab civilians would not fund other violent acts to encourage more Jewish immigration from Arab lands?

It seems to me that the proof that the Zionists did not drive Arabs out of the area that became the State of Israel is the following: Twenty percent of Israelis are Arabs who have full civil rights. Compare with population changes across The Middle East and North Africa.

Unveiling the Truth: The Astonishing Shift in Middle Eastern Demographics from 1948 to 2024

Announcement

As discussions of "ethnic cleansing" continue to echo across discussions about Israel, I believe it's crucial to illuminate these conversations with precise data and historical context. To truly understand the scope of demographic changes in this region, we must examine the evidence closely:

In-Depth Analysis of Demographic Shifts

Jewish Population Decline in Arab Countries (1948-2024):

Country % Decrease from 1948-2024

Algeria 99.93%

Bahrain 94.00%

Egypt 99.99%

Iraq 99.99%

Jordan 100.00%

Kuwait 100.00%

Lebanon 99.50%

Libya 100.00%

Morocco 99.20%

Syria 99.97%

Tunisia 99.05%

Yemen 99.91%

The figures above starkly highlight the dramatic reduction in Jewish populations across various Arab nations, with an average decline of 99.8% since 1948. This decline was influenced by a complex blend of war, political instability, and policies enacted post-Israel’s establishment, which collectively spurred a significant Jewish exodus.

Contrasting Growth in Israel’s Arab Population:

Conversely, Israel's Arab population has burgeoned, rising from 156,000 in 1948 to an estimated 2,178,000 in 2024—a 1,296.15% increase. This growth occurs within Israel's diverse societal fabric, illustrating a narrative of coexistence and community enhancement, rather than displacement or exclusion.

This data demands a nuanced examination, rather than reductionist labels that may mislead or inflame. The term "ethnic cleansing" is a powerful and polarizing phrase that, when misapplied, can distort our understanding of the complex realities of Middle Eastern ethnic dynamics.

I'm sharing these insights because I believe in the power of truth to foster genuine dialogue and reconciliation. Misinformation not only entrenches division but also obscures the paths to peace and mutual respect.

I encourage you to look beyond the headlines, question the simplified narratives, and engage with detailed, well-sourced information. Understanding the past and present of Middle Eastern demographics is not just about correcting misconceptions but about paving the way for informed discussions that can lead to a peaceful future.

Do you really believe that Jews rule the world? Do you think the amount of money the Irgun might have had as its disposal compared in any substantial way with the amounts Qatar and Saudi Arabia have used to get American universities to spread lies about Jews and Israel? I had neighbors who were forced out of Egypt. I also know of Holocaust survivors who got to Israel and then came to the States because of food shortages in Israel as Israel struggled to rehabilitate so many refugees while still being under Arab attack. Conversely. despite large land holdings and oil riches, the Arabs put their people who'd fled or been displaced by Arab-initiated violence on the world's dole. There are 6,000,000 Palestine "refugees" on UNRWA's rolls (99.5% of them born into refugee status) and they consume monies that could be used to help current refugees.

Bro you are the liar. I never once said Jews rule the world in fact I love the fact that some of the most outspoken critics against the Zio regime are Jewish. Btw Israel donates enormous amounts of cash to American politics through AIPAC and I’m sure they do it to other western countries as well. If anyone is giving credence to the antisemitic trope (that I disagree with) that Jews run the world it is Israel. You don’t get to donate hundreds of millions to trumps campaign slush fund then claim Israel doesn’t hold any sway over America’s foreign policy lol.

Israel is fighting to prevent Hamas from making good on its vow to inflict repeated October 7s on Israelis. Israel has made numerous proposals for peace and given the Palestinians their first opportunity to live under leaders of their own choosing. But Palestinian leaders are more interested in destroying the nation-state of the Jews than in helping Palestinians to get out of refugee limbo. Read Bassam Tawil's article in Gatestone. (What to Palestinians really want?)

You are living in a wicked fantasy reality. Israel has ratfucked every single route to peace because, obviously, the goal is to remove the native population to allow the occupation to expand. Palestinians would like to return to the land from which they were evicted. "Palestinian leaders" is irrelevant. Go read articles published in Hebrew, they're more honest there.

The roadblock to Palestinian statehood is Israel's completely understandable concern that such a state would be another staging ground against the Jewish state and its people (including its Arab citizens who are considered traitors by Palestinian leaders.

Good for you to obliquely concede the "roadblock" - Israel is continuously putting up these things to ensure a resistance continues and they have some cover to keep cleaning out the surplus natives. This is so obvious it isn't even worth debating, the cover is totally blown.

Hamas was goaded into the Oct. 7 attacks by Israel. In the months leading up to Oct. 7 the IDF repeatedly attacked the Al-Aqsa mosque, one of the holiest in Islam, beating up people at prayer. Hamas repeatedly warned Israel to stop or there would be consequences. Israel kept attacking.

Also the number of killings of Palestinians in the West Bank had increased dramatically in that time, reaching about 400 by Oct. 7 (many more have been killed since then). The nutcase Israeli settlers kill Palestinians with impunity and no consequence backed up by the IDF.

Israel has broken all the peace proposals, the latest being the one signed this past Jan.

Israel has never provided evidence that Hamas is supposedly hidden in all the hospitals, schools, mosques, bakeries, etc., it has destroyed. Quite to the contrary, nothing related to Hamas has ever been found in any of the hospitals Israel has bombed, many multiple times. Just yesterday Israel bombed a prosthetics hospital with mainly child amputees. Israel lies through its eye teeth and so do you.
