"The elderly patriarch of the family, Talal al-Khour, his wives, daughters, sons, and grandchildren were all killed in the attack. A total of twenty-two people—including twelve children—perished, their bodies blown apart and buried under the rubble."

Let's keep in mind one thing: This is a case of our tax dollars at work. Evil, horrific, merciless work.

Thank you for the detailed reporting of the reality on the ground.

This is a US/Israeli genocide. Our tax dollars are supporting the massacres, maiming and starvation of children and their families. To object is to risk being deported or disappeared whether or not one is here legally. The US government has become a pariah in the eyes of the rest of the world and rightly so.

Fuck Israel. Worked for a Jewish owned company in the 70s but what Israel is doing now is DISPICABLE! Also attended the opening of the Jewish Temple in the 50s or early 60s in Nuuanu.

Hamas won "the war." Then Trump demanded a ceasefire for his inaugaration day. Israel broke it time and again. Then shattered it on March 2. Israel/US closed the borders and restarted the bombing, snipers, setting people on fire, etc. Effectively kettling the maimed population into a concentration camp.

On this 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War, America has learned nothing. A poor country, Vietnam defeated the military might of the USA. Vietnam won the war. They operated in tunnels. Sound familiar?

Now the revenge of the losers is to use starvation to ethnically cleanse these indigenous people,

sound familiar?

We can endlessly talk and witness the horrors of the Palestinans and the evil merchants of death Zionists.

But nobody talks about the future. Are the Zionists going to 'rule' in the West and IF they are (which seems plausible) what is that future going to be look like especially with Evangelical Christians supporting the Zionists?.

Israel celebrated its 77th Independence Day today. For the sake of the Palestinians, for the sake of the world, may there not be a 78th.

The tragedy is unbearable. We continue to do anything we can to help. Your reporting

is essential as always. You are our lanterns in the dark. That you bear witness makes it impossible for us to forget the urgency for one second.

Can't be done without U.S. weapons: Israel is an arm of the U.S. in this instance as it uses U.S. weapons coupled with an intent that mirrors settlers in North America and their behavior towards the indigenous people.

In the words of West Point's Major John Spencer: Hamas is sacrificing the Gazans -- storing munitions in private homes, hospitals, and areas where civilians are sheltering after being warned by the IDF of planned attacks. Even if Israel is cutting back on current shipments of food, Hamas has huge stores of aid previously stolen from the people. But Hamas won't give the food to the people, just as Hamas lets only its fighters shelter in the tunnel it built. Interesting that Hamas could spend $1,000,000,000 to build its network of terror tunnels while claiming that an Israeli blockade prevented the development of Gaza's economy.

So bombing the children is the best solution?

The casualty reports from Hamas' "health ministry" are inaccurate. Statisticians have noted that the claims that most of the dead have been women and children could be accurate only if there are esssentially no adult males in Gaza. Even the UN has questioned the Health Ministry's figures. Major Spencer (head of Urban Warfare Studies at West Point's Modern Warfare Institute) says the IDF has achieved the lowest ratio of civilian casualties to combatant casualties (1.5:1) ever recorded for fighting in a densely populated areas such as Gaza. He notes that ratios as high as 9 civilians killed for each combatant killed are not unusual.

This is the biggest nonsense I've ever heard since the war I've been living through in Gaza began... Do you want me to send you lists of the names of all the dead with their ages and ID numbers so you can verify yourself?

Hamas's breaking a ceasefire started the war. Its vow to repeat atrocities over and over again is what convinced Israel that it's time to stop settling for continual war interrupted by intervals of relative quiet.

Major John Spencer is head of Urban Warfare Studies at West Point. See:

Major Spencer also has a post on X (formerly Twitter) stating that Hamas has gone beyond using Gazans as human shields -- and is actually using them as human sacrifices.

What is happening to our character as a nation to allow this?! Write your congressperson to bring accountability and to restore UNRWA. This situation is similar to the Holocaust except the irony is that the perpetrators are mostly immigrants or their descendants inflicting this on the indigenous Palestinians.
