Craven cowards all! Thanks for this important update on that disgraceful statement that gives cover to an administration who would do the same regardless. That Columbia would provide the fuel to bolster this effort is beyond ignominy.

These "Profiles in (Academia's) Courage" revelations (tellingly, this is but one of many) bring to mind that scene in "Alien" in which the creature erupts from the chest of the John Hurt character Kane. Just gruesome and gut-wrenching to watch. Perfect metaphor for the Zionist takeover of our institutions, our country. “Israel ‘R’ Us.”

Along these lines, “Secretary of State Marco Rubio... stated that one of the reasons for acting against Mahdawi was that he had ‘engaged in threatening rhetoric and intimidation of pro-Israeli bystanders.’”

Did Rubio (and Bondi, for that matter) get his law degree by filling out the back of a matchbook cover?

I do think there is a wide-spread belief in what you say about the US being taken over by the Zionists, and good reasons for thinking that. But, I have been wondering about this hypothetical: Can we really believe that if the Zionists, along with Israel, were to give up their weapons, and make peace with the Palestinians, that the USA would do the same?

Having a hard time picturing that? Yeah, me too.

No, Joy, neither can I picture that happening. I think it needs to be borne in mind that the present genocide is an acute manifestation of the American Empire's approach to the rest of the world. As such, Israel/the Zionists are revealing that each is a "culture of death," which I initially thought was attributable to Norman Finkelstein (though he may indeed have used it), but apparently goes back to Pope John Paul II https://www.clmagazine.org/post/pro-life-basics-what-is-the-culture-of-death/.

I guess it's a continuation of sorts of the ancient practice of human sacrifice, only this time to placate the gods of capitalism and Zionism.

Columbia has become a fascist school. It must be completed isolated and shamed, and a public boycott instituted. No students at any level should apply there, all events being held there by non-Columbia groups should be cancelled, and students and professors should walk out. Zero tolerance for fascism in the educational system!

Not that having a Columbia University statement is that relevant, given the fact that the Trump administration basically fabricates charges out of thin (actually extremely thin) air.

If the international institutions have any meaning, and it is questionable for how long, we cannot allow Israel to escape the legal consequences of their war crimes. The Hind Rajab Foundation has, among other things, filed a case with the ICC against 1,000 Israeli soldiers for war crimes in Gaza.

https://www.hindrajabfoundation.org/perpetrators/hind-rajab-foundation-files-historic-icc-complaint-against-1000-israeli-soldiers-for-war-crimes-in-gaza

They have taken further steps in recent days, and vacations are becoming a lot more difficult for IDF soldiers, worldwide. The Hind Rajab Foundation can use our help. Please join me in making a contribution.

To know more about The Hind Rajab Foundation, there are a couple of really good interviews that Glenn Greenwald did on his Rumble platform, and Ali Abunimah of the Electronic Intifada, did with the head of this organisation, Dyad Abou Jahjah. It was very informative.

Here's a petition calling for accountability for the arrest of Ali Abunimah in Switzerland for the crime of speaking about Palestinian rights::

DAWN has urged the ICC prosecutor to investigate and prosecute former President Biden, State Secretary Blinken and Defense Secretary Austin for their personal roles in aiding and abetting Israeli war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in Gaza as part of his ongoing investigation into the situations in Palestine since 2014.

https://dawnmena.org/latest/

Let’s give them our support. Maybe they will expand their complaint to include this latest US administration, and include all the leaders of the western nations supporting this genocide.

Dear DropSite: I have been demonstrating on my own for six months against Zionism in America and for liberty and justice for all. I do this both in front of a pro-Israel synagogue and at the entrance to Northwestern University, which quickly capitulated to Trump's bullying.

As far as I know I am the one and only white American born citizen doing this. Local newspapers refuse to speak to me. The mayor and city council are silent in response to my question - "do you support liberty and justice for all or Zionism?"

Early on I contacted you with full information on my effort and there was no reply. On Sunday, Trump is hinting that he might declare martial law which would allow him to go after American citizens like me for supporting the Palestinians and denouncing Israel.

This does not intimidate me, but I could be arrested for doing what I would hope all American citizens would be doing, getting out on the street and demonstrating in defense of the founding principle of our country and against the takeover by a tiny foreign state that rejects the equality of all human beings in favor of ethnic supremacy.

Are you still completely uninterested in my unique form of protest that is supported not by any group but by my own conscience and regard for the Pledge of Allegiance? What I am doing is not popping up elsewhere spontaneously and cannot spread if nobody knows about it. Though I doubt you read comments here, directly addressing you by mail only added to what I call The Great Silence. Are you listening?

Thank you for your protest! I hope you will get more attention and there will be more like you. I especially appreciate that you are outside a synagogue. Why Jewish protestors for peace aren't disrupting synagogue services is beyond me. They need to confront Zionists in their death cult settings. Goys like us can't enter those spaces as easily, and Jews for peace are too cowardly to confront the Jewish Zionists in the majority within their ethnic supremacist tribe in a setting where it might matter.

Though I am not a Jew, I have actively supported JVP for 20 years (SJP too) attending meetings and contributing money. I've always wondered at how non-Jewish America seems to consider Israel as something that only Jews can express themselves about. When I began my vigil, I lost my friends from boyhood all of whom were too timid to do anything about the horrors in Gaza and I think this timidity is true of "people like me" in general. What would the neighbors think!? Might I be called an antisemite?! That all has to be dismissed and to recall that this is supposed to be the land of the free and the home of the brave.

With this synagogue as is undoubtedly true of all, the members of the congregation can differ on Israel. What prompted me to stand in front of this one was the rabbi, the leader, was one of those who adamantly denounced the attempt to get a ceasefire resolution passed.

As I stand at the entrance to NU, I am concerned that I am not seeing the non-white students that once were uninhibited in coming up and thanking me for what I am doing. They might well be laying low, understandably given that such students are being grabbed by ICE. If Americans are not incensed enough by now to get out and make a fuss, what can move them?

At the local "Hands Off" demonstration earlier this month easily a thousand people turned out, but I was the one and only person there with a Palestinian flag, or any signage about the issue and, incredibly after so much killing and destruction in Gaza, a couple of people asked me what country my flag represented! It is a luxury of Americans that they can ignore the world.

Kenneth Marcus, Trump 45's Jewish nominee for Asst Sec, Office of Civil Rights at the Department of Education explains how with threats of law suits, he coerces and blackmails our educational institutions to limit, restrict and deny our 1st amendment right to free speech: ‘Trump Nominee Has History of Suing Colleges Over Israel Boycotts ‘ - Marcus is currently head of the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law, which he founded in 2011. The Center has been involved in serial litigation with one objective – stopping protests staged by students at colleges and universities against Israeli policies. Marcus is focused on silencing the non-violent Boycott movement.

As he wrote in the Jerusalem Post, “These cases — even when rejected — expose administrators to bad publicity… Israel haters now publicly complain that these cases make it harder for them to recruit new adherents… If a university shows a failure to treat initial complaints seriously, it hurts them with donors, faculty, political leaders and prospective students.”

In coming to my realizations about the true nature of the Zionists (and the American Empire, for that matter) since Oct. 7th, the shameless usurpation of the esteem of others to serve their own unscrupulous purposes ranks (in both meanings of the word) high. Such is the case with Marcus’ associating himself with Brandeis. (Kinda like Jeffrey Epstein parading around wearing a Harvard sweatshirt, although that’s another sordid story altogether.)

One curiosity that popped up upon reading Brandeis’ biography on Britannica.com, “From 1912 Brandeis was an enthusiastic supporter of Zionism, the only cause with which he was publicly identified.” Hard to believe, in that he had a cultivated Bohemian Jewish family background. Could he too have been duped, as so many others have been for over a century now, by the falsehoods, fabrications, and fantasies of the Zionist narrative?

[The quid pro quo] "Balfour-WWI negotiations are referred to in various documents. For example, Samuel Landman, a leader of the Zionist-revisionists and secretary of the world Zionist organization, described them in a 1935 article in World Jewry: “After an understanding had been arrived at between Sir Mark Sykes and [Zionists] Weizmann and Sokolow, it was resolved to send a secret message to [Supreme Court] Justice Brandeis that the British Cabinet would help the Jews to gain Palestine in return for active Jewish sympathy and for support in the USA for the Allied cause, so as to bring about a radical pro-Ally tendency in the United States." British Colonial Secretary Lord Cavendish, in a memorandum to the British Cabinet in 1923, reminded his colleagues:

“The object [of the Balfour Declaration] was to enlist the sympathies on the Allied side of influential Jews and Jewish organizations all over the world... and it is arguable that the negotiations with the Zionists...did in fact have considerable effect in advancing the date at which the United States government intervened in the war.”[34]

Well, there is, I continue to make a distinction between Judaism and Jews and Israelis/Zionists. Many Jews were opposed to Zionism from the start, and continue to oppose it.

That being said, obscuring the difference between the two is a characteristic ruse of the Zionists, to exploit and identify with the worthy stature of others in order to camouflage and justify their outrages against humanity. To the extent that they get away with this - and they are - they are putting Jews and Judaism at risk.

Why a seder in the streets by JVP? The celebration is meaningless to Palestinians. Why isn't JVP using their Jewish privilege to protest in Jewish spaces, like synagogues. Over 60 percent of Jews in the US support the genocide in Gaza and identity as Zionist according to the Pew Charitable Trust and the Guardian polls. Until JVP disrupts Jewish spaces as they should, I remain doubtful if their ability to create genuine change. They are the only protestors not being threatened with deportment, of course. Jews and Judaism are putting Jews and Judaism at risk honestly. The 60 plus percent that support the genocide obviously, and the cowardice of JVP and other Jews of conscience to confront the Zionist Jewish majority in synagogues and Chabad Centers, and other majority Jewish spaces. Goys can't do it. We'll get called anti-semites, and Zionists are Jewish Supremacists who have no respect for Goys anyway. It's not inaccurate at this point to say that most Jews are fundamentally Supremacists. See Gaza. See Dueteronomy 12:2. Can your Rabbi say Amalek War? Is killing babies for God and homeland really supposed to be a spiritual system? Judaism is over. The best move now is to abandon the Supremacist delusion and simply stop being Jewish. Same advice for Proud Boys, KKK members and Christian Zionist idiots, too.

It’d be disingenuous on my part to dismiss or reject offhandedly your remarks and questions, as they merit consideration and response, as pointed (blunt?) as they may be. I have maintained a position for myself of a distinction between Jews and Zionists (as I’ve written), the former representing the life of the mind, humanity, compassion, social justice, achievement, and culture, among the other attributes. The Zionists are the result of a mutant, twisted, freakish DNA, and represent the antitheses of all those human, and humane, qualities.

I’ve arrived at my views through Jewish friends and acquaintances I have known in my life (I’m not Jewish myself, if that’s at all pertinent), as well as becoming familiar with, or more familiar with, the likes of Noam Chomsky, Norman Finkelstein (who, by the way, gave me some insight into Jewish supremacy), Ilan Pappe (ditto on supremacy), Avi Shlaim, Miko Peled, Gideon Levy and other Jews since Oct. 7th. Of course their antitheses are Benjamin Netanyahu, Bezalel Smotrich, Yoav Gallant, Benny Gantz, Ron Dermer, Israel Katz, Elliot Brandt, Miriam Adelson, and long list of other rogues as well as their cadre of non-Jewish Zionist sympathizers, accomplices, and enablers such as Elise Stefanik, Mike Huckabee, Mike Johnson, Mitch McConnell, and of course IQ47.

All that being said, and beyond Netanyahu’s off-the-wall ranting about smiting the Amaleks (of 3000 years ago) in Oct. of 2023, I was floored to come across statements from rabbis(!) justifying, saying it was moral to kill men, women, and children in the “defense of Israel”, this from the supposed holy ranks of Judaism, purportedly learned in the moral teachings of the Talmud and Torah (https://theconversation.com/in-israel-calls-for-genocide-have-migrated-from-the-margins-to-the-mainstream-250010).

That then pushed me to ask two related, brewing questions I had, what does it mean to be Jewish, what does it mean to be Jewish in light of the genocide in Gaza? To begin to get answers, I literally typed those words in a DuckDuckGo search (I don’t care to be caught up in Google vacuuming up my personal data anymore than it already has) and thus far haven’t come up with many informative hits (I’ll have to refine my searches) but I did across a very worthwhile review of Peter Beinhart’s new book, “Being Jewish After the Destruction of Gaza: A Reckoning” (https://religiondispatches.org/peter-beinarts-being-jewish-after-the-destruction-of-gaza-expertly-dismantles-pro-israel-propaganda-but-does-it-adequately-reckon-with-the-genocide/). It’s a bit long, but I urge you to read it in its entirety, as it winds up with quite a punchline in the closing paragraphs, in my estimation.

“Is killing babies for God and homeland really supposed to be a spiritual system? Judaism is over. The best move now is to abandon the Supremacist delusion and simply stop being Jewish.”

That’s pretty tough, especially those last four words. Is the Supremacist delusion as attached to Judaism as a Siamese twin? Is it possible to separate them? I think at least a partial answer is to be found in the closing of the Beinhart review. I’d be interested in what you think.

As my Jewish mother in law used to say, "The Zionists will complete what the Nazis started." Beinart's courageous surely. As are other JVPs opposed to genocide. I think they need to take these thoughts directly to Jewish in- spaces if they want to transform the Jewish majority worldwide that overwhelming support, financially and otherwise the Zionazis. Moderates always platform extremists in any political movement. Obs killing babies for God is not spiritual. Was it when Moses ordered it. No more so. Judaism is primarily a political movement of separatist supremacism today. Hence, over, unless Beinart and the like can actually change somebody like Zuckerberg's or Janet Yellen's or Kamila Harris's husband's mind about the meaning of the Covenant with Abraham.
